CYCI#127 Color Challenge

Welcome back!
Even though all of the newest Design Team Members started last week!!!
I wanted to take this time and thank them for joining the rest of us, crazy artists!
Each of them has a unique talent for colors, design, style, and imagination!
I look forward to this half of the year, and can't wait to see what is next to come!

Amber, Char, Deb, Jeanne, Jessie, Josefine, Kayla, Kim and Rose
I am ever so grateful, thank you, my friends!

On to the challenge of the week!

I started by using some Color Burst by Ken Oliver on some of his Water-Media paper
Along with a Thinking of you stamp from Crafting Desert Divas, which I heat embossed in Stampendous Opaque powder!  I also wanted some shimmer so I added some Spectrum Sparkle to the layer! :) I used a brush on the area around the sentiment and a paper towel to blot the top areas!
I used some woodgrain paper from Simon Says Stamp with the Fun Stampers Journey Chevron Stencil, which I used glossy paste from Ranger!

Gus is adorable & was my helper!
He's loved the card and the treat he got for being the best helper ever!

My finished touches were so much fun lots and lots of Fun Stampers Journey Black Licorice Thread, Star frame elements colored with the new and fabulous Electric Lime Silks and SIP NY Hamptons Ice sequins!

I hope you've enjoyed my card, and will join us this week!

Until next time

  4. So glad to be part of this group now, Eva! Your colorburst background turned out so pretty! Every time I see them used to make such beautiful cards, I think I want them...but then I get ahold of myself and realize they make a mess and a mess isn't for me. You almost got me!
