Simple Floral design

Hello and welcome back to the blog. Jeanne and I have been crafting all week long.  COVID 19 has us learning new ways to keep ourselves busy. I'm becoming relatively familiar with the Walmart Grocery app online. We have another small order to pick up on Sunday.  Every time I check for the bit and pieces we are missing, sometimes I can find them, others not so much. But it's getting better every time.  In other news, no one has gotten it at our house and none of the kids (my older ones) have it either, all blessings from God. Bible study is going well this week. Holy week is always a great time to give up on the past and look toward your future. God has plans for each of us.

I've got a great card for you today, using a fabulous sketch from FMS #430.

I kept the look simple and clean. I love the watercolor on the Fine Frames Diamond Die Set. I used just one color from the 36 Half Pan Watercolor set from Altenew.com. The Lagoon color which is a blue-green hue was perfect to mimic the sky.  I also added the Pegboard Canvas Cover die behind to ground my main images.

The floral images are from the Vintage Flowers stamp and die set.  I chose Red Cosmos Oval Ink Collection for the flower color. While the leaves I went with Warm Grays Mini Ink Cubes.

The sentiment is from Best Sentiments its a mini stamp set with 4 incredible sentiments to fit many occasions, in Obsidian Black ink.  My close up below shows lots of the details to each of the images on my card today.

I hope you enjoyed today's post and will check out the challenge.

God Bless
Eva

January 28 2020

Hello and welcome back to the blog.  I had an exceptional day got to chat with two of my friends.  I took care of some odds and ends and made this fabulous card.   Bill and I managed to have lunch together, which is amazing cause we are never hungry at the same time. Normally we graze, until dinner time. I have a box of Fig Newtons at my desk, along with some 3 Musketeers, and Lorna Doone cookies.   While chatting this morning I was inspired to create the card below. So let's see what I used to make it.

Again I'm grabbing the Altenew sets that make me happiest! The Garden Treasure is a fan favorite of mine.  Sincere Greetings which I've had on my desktop for a few days. The Artist Markers were calling out to be used.  So I used sets A and C for the coloring below. If you didn't already know Artist Markers are sets that go together to help you create the perfect palette of hues. There are 5 sets in all, with refills available for each color.

Going beyond the stamps and color, there is some glitz from my glitter paper in Copper and 110lb cardstock for the base card.  I splattered a bit of black paint onto the background of the card as well.
That's it for today's card.

The scripture for yesterday was:
The unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple. Psalm 119:130

God is good
