Metals Card - The Spot Challenge #106

Hello and welcome back.  LIfe has really slowed down since the beginning of the month. Another day having to stay in, with limited travel.  I'm getting better at making grocery orders at Walmart.com and making sure to unclick the no substitutions box. So far, It's been nice to work on the tasks at home that might have been overlooked and chores that have built up getting done.  In other news, the school dist has ended school for the year. Since they start in August and end in May, they were just a few weeks away from the end of the school year. I'm praying that school starts without any problems.

Today is all about the beauty that is metal cardstock with a soft base of pink and gray.   I went with a peachy pink called Rouge, and a Dark Gray cardstock from Altenew. The sentiment is also from Altenew and one of my personal favorites. More Than Words is one of those sets, you will use over and over again.  I used Pure Graphite ink color from Altenew.

Next is the Copper Glitter paper that I paired with the Daisy Bouquet die from Gina Marie. I bought it so long ago, and it fits perfectly with the style of design I was going for.

Lastly, there is the layer of Vellum which is from a kit I got along the way, and I would call this from my stash. The lovely but lost items that we find in our search for crafty things.

Well, that's it for today, I hope you will check out,  The Spot challenge. In the meantime, pray to the heavens that life will find some kindness for each of us. God bless and take care.

February 8 2020

Hello and welcome back to the blog!  Normally I add a summary of the day... it was a shit show... so on to my card! lol, I'm praying tomorrow is better! Lord help me!

Today's card is about friendship. I'm so lucky to have people who are my chosen family "Friends".  I started with the One Friend mini stamp set from Altenew.com and added the Garden Grow stamp set as well. The lovely little vase was missing some color, but rather than just using markers or pencils, I used Altenew inks ina rounded rainbow, with a heart in the middle to show how much I cherish those whom I call a friend!  All o the stamping with done in Obsidian Black ink - I love this stuff!

I put the card together using 80lb White cardstock.  To create the circle for blending the colors I used the Halftone Circles Nesting Die to make a layer I could blend the colors together.

I hope you like it! Have courage and strength! God Bless
:)
