A challenge to inspire you

Hello and welcome back, today I've got a card for the Altenew Inspiration Challenge for March!

I started my card by coloring onto a quarter sheet of 80lb white cardstock. I used 6 colors in all, they are Shades of Purple: Lavender Fields and Soft Lilac, Cool Summer Nights: Sea Glass and Ocean Waves and Green Meadows: Minty Mint and Sweet Leaf. Then I cut them into either 1/4 inch or 1/2 strips.  Glued them onto a 4 by 5 1/4 sheet of white cardstock.

I wanted to have a little something behind the sentiment so I went with the die from Penned Rose, and cut three of them! The sentiment I used for today's card is from the amazing Build-A-Flower: Aster stamp set.

Finally, I pulled the card together and added just a few of the Rock Collection Enamel Dots. Adding the card front onto a 110 lb cardbase in white cardstock.

Just a couple of days left to join the challenge! Enjoy
Before I go, I want to pray for both our country and the world during this time of caution and loss...

February 9 2020

Hello and welcome back to the blog. Today was a great day to get some stuff done around the house.  We watched a couple of movies afterward and I chatted with my crafty pal, Jeanne for a while too!  The hubby did our first ever online order from Walmart for a few things we forgot when we shopped the other day. The teenager went to a party at friends, so the house was pretty quiet.  I ordered some new books to read and as soon as they come in, I'll share the titles with all of you!  In the meantime, I think there's a card waiting to be shared, so let's get to that!

For today's card, I went a little girly, with bits of blue! I used the Build A Flower: Aster stamped on a print from the Reflection paper pack.  I love how the colors look on the stamped image. It's a great way to add color to a stamp without coloring!  I also used the Creative Edges: Lace Die, using Blush cardstock, I repeated the cut 4 times, using strips of 1 3/4 wide by 4 1/4 long. I also added a small stripe of Turquoise cardstock. The splatters, in pink, and black! The stamp set also has sentiments and I cherish our Friendship, so fabulous! I had to use it!  All but the floss is from Altenew and there's a link on the side to help you get to that page!

That's it for today,  but I'll leave you with a few words of prayer.
Lord thank you for the countless blessings you have given us, we stand strong in witness of your holy name. Amen
