Hello and welcome back to the blog. Today the internet was intermittent and instead of waiting for it, Bill and I got out of the house for a bit.  We found an old gift card to Outback, and figured we give it a try. We had a nice time for an early Valentine's outing.  The internet is still acting up, so hopefully, it will start working properly again.  I did a live on Facebook, that was fun! I'm out of practice, so it took a lot longer than I thought it would, but the more I do, the better they will get.

On to today's card.  FMS#422

So I've got a card for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge. Linda's sketch is amazing. You should check it out!  I started with the Mega Hello Die, in Forest Glades cardstock. Along with the Essential Rock Collection paper pack. I chose a subtle print to go behind the Hello die and added a layer of Vellum on top. Then I grabbed some of the Floral Flurries Washi Tape and layered it onto white cardstock. Fuzzy cut the images out and placed them onto the vellum. I also added a smaller "Hello" sentiment from Sentiment Stripes.  I love the fun look of the card. I always love how FMS comes up with amazing sketches.

Here's a second picture giving you a different angle of the card.

Well, that's it for today,  I'm so grateful to know God. That each day he helps us to find our paths on this earthly home.  I look forward to each day, both good and the bad, guided by grace, and by a loving God. Amen

Hello and welcome back! After more than a couple of days of wind today, we lost our internet connection until 10:07 PM it was horrid! On days like this, my husband and I watch the old movies on DVD or BluRay! It's kinda nice to get comfy and watch some of the best films of all times. A personal fav is A Goofy Movie (Lol... we've loved this since it came out in the early 2000s).  Anyway, after hours of no internet, I set my card aside and just enjoyed complaining that we didn't have any internet. The hardest part was giving up on doing Bible study, I love to share the gospel!
Praying to the Lord that in the morning the internet is still working, as we are still looking at more high winds throughout the week.

For today, I made a quick card. The Frame Thanks Die is amazing, today I cut off the sentiment "thanks" and moved it to the bottom of the die-cut in Dark Gray card stock. I also added some flowers with the amazing Floral Art stamp set, with 80lb White card stock in Obsidian Black with a bit of Honey Drizzle ink in the centers. The Print in the back is part of the Essential Rock Collection paper pack.  Finally, I changed up my cardstock for my card base and went with 110# white cardstock.  Of course, all of the products used today can be found at Altenew's website, the link is on the right.

Well, that's it for today, but I don't want to take any chances in case the internet drops again. By the grace of God, we love. Amen

As you can see we think alike in the basic needs of any stamper.  Other items we need each day are mats to work on,  Great lighting and lots of imagination!  Every day I make cards, some days are better than others, but I know that if I keep working on it I will get better.  One way to increase your skills is by taking classes.  Altenew offers lots of different classes every day, and it's a learn at your own pace.  Visit Altenew and click on Education, then Altenew Academy. It was amazing all of the fabulous things they teach.

Today's card is using Artist Markers, from Altenew. I used set A, along with Dearest Friend Stamp Set and Die. I didn't do detail coloring, just simply fill in the area. I did a bit extra on the leaves on the left. But other than that I kept it simple.  CAS cards are well-liked when shared on social media. They can be easily recreated, with similar stamps, prints, and sentiments.  I used a sentiment from the DF stamp set, stamped in Obsidian Black which is my favorite ink to use. I also recently got the the Essentials- Rock Collection Paper Pack. It has so many amazing prints in the pack.  Let's take a look at the images I took.

I recently started doing this sideways shot, and it's becoming my favorite!

Here's a great photo of my card!

My close up shows how wonderful the details are!

When the Disciples asked Jesus, Lord how should we pray - he told them like this.

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy Name,
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those
who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory,
for ever and ever. Amen.

Have a beautiful day!

Hello and welcome to the blog! Today was interesting, we went to the local hardware store to get a new lamp for taking photos for the blog, I told the hubby that they could double as work lights, so he said okay!  LOL! We got back and I got to work creating today's card. Somedays I'm ahead, but today that wasn't the case. I've got a surprise coming up in a few weeks, can't wait for you to see that. But for now, I should eat my ice cream and get the rest of the blog done.

Today I've got some new Altenew products (new to me) that I recently ordered. When I do get a chance to make a purchase, I love mixing it up, new release items with past fabulousness!  The Classic Beauty stamp and die combo were on sale and have been in my wishlist forever, so I grabbed it while I could. I also chose one of the paper packs, Rock Collection stood out for its lack of color. Sometimes you need a neutral color to go on your project. This was perfect, the woodgrain looks amazing behind the rose and leaves. I also love the Rock Collection Oval Ink set, the Darkest is what I used instead of Obsidian Black today. Other products used today are Vellum, Sugar Plum mini ink cubes, and 80lb White cardstock for my base.

I've been working on creating better photos. Please let me know what you think of today's images.

Before I go, I thought I'd share a quick verse: He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. - Titus 3:5 Our God has given us so much, use it for good, for family and for a life worth living!
