Hello and welcome back to another day on the blog! Today I'm sharing a Valentine card that I made, with 80lb white cardstock, watercolor paper, and some stamps. I'll get to that in a moment. But Bill and I had a great time walking through Home Depot.  The tile for the kitchen still needs to be figured out. I want that, he wants that kinda problem. I stopped and asked the guy in windows and doors about a style I really like, for the kitchen window. It's a picture window on top and an awning window at the bottom. So even when it rains we won't have to close the window during the fall, and late winter/early spring (Arizona for you).  We were looking for a pocket door, to see what they cost, but couldn't find any for the laundry room.  Next time we will go with a shopping list.  Bill also took me to lunch as an early birthday present, it was lovely.  We don't have many chain restaurants in town, so going to one of them is nice to break from fast food outings. Anyway, let's get to that card.

As I said above, I watercolored the heart I made on watercolor paper with the 36 half pan set from Altenew. set it off to the side to dry and went to work on my background.  The Sweet Friend stamp set had these cute XOXO and a little typeface font love. So I used them together to make a custom background for my card.
After that, I took out this mini envelope from my stash (you can get them from your local craft store).  Die-cut the U from Caps Bold Alpha on black cardstock.  I used Magenta mini ink cube to stamp LOVE from Label Love and Obsidian Black for the Hello Gorgeous sentiments Sweet Freind stamp set.  I added an eyelet from my stash in bronze and there you have it.  A fabulous card ready to send out.  Below is a shot of the greet on the heart.

So that's it for today, still hoping to get some of my paintings up on the blog and soon... sadly today is not the day.  Thanks for stopping in, and seeing what I've made.  With that, I offer up a short prayer:  Among us, there is the greatness, the Lord our Father gives us the grace to move mountains. We must rise to the moment and give God our very best.  We do this not for ourselves, but for those we love, our Father in Heaven, our family, friends, and angels who could be a stranger no longer.  Amen.

Hello and welcome back to my blog. Today like many other days before it was good.  Bill and I ran to Wally's and got some food for the boys *Gus n Russ*. Their food tote was running low. I was looking at all the dog dishes, they were so cute, one of them said "Good Boy"!  We went looking at frying pans, as our last one has died! The coating was flaking off, so it had to go. However replacing it will be about 50 bucks, do you know how many stamps I could get with 50 bucks... that was the look on my face while looking at the prices, lol!  Bible study was also very good today too, we read more about Moses, the pharaoh, and freedom for his peoples. Our God is a loving and divine god. I am grateful for his love. Let's get to the card for today.

Shaker card time! I found one of the Altenew stamp sets that I hadn't used yet and made today's card with it. Sew with Love is a great stamp set, it has a matching die, but I didn't use that today.
For my ink, I used 3 of the darker Red Cosmos oval inks, Greed Fields (its a staple) and Obsidian Black, which is becoming my favorite ink to use for sentiments.  I also used 80lb and 110lb White cardstock. Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle Dies for the top layer.

Next, you'll see all the bits for the shaker. Pretty Pink Posh has so many amazing seed beads and droplets to add to your cards. I used clear and white pieces so they wouldn't block the image too much. I also used some of my DoodleBug sequins in pinks and greens to match my card colors.
In the top image, you can see the sentiment, but on the bottom image you can't, I love that!  A hidden message is always a treat when it comes to shaker cards.

Well, that's about it for today. I hope you will check out my cards on IG and FB and don't forget to follow or friend me. Tomorrow I will be sharing some pours that I came up with. I really enjoyed making today's card.  Don't forget to follow me, using the link on my homepage.
Have an incredible day, and God bless.

Hello and welcome back to the blog.  Today was a great day, it started with another great Bible study on my FB page facebook.com/evabussom and It was all about the good samaritan and the lesson of how best to serve our communities and families.  Again, it was a wonderful lesson.   After that, I fixed a small problem with a design I was working on for the new laundry room and was on my way to create the card for today's blog.

Jeanne and I were having a video crafty chat and I was showing her my new Digi from https://angieblomdigitaldesigns.com/. Angie Blom has a great new shop with Digital designs she has created.  I grabbed two of the digi's from Angie and I love them, let's check out my card and what I used to make it.  You won't believe what I used alongside the amazing creation from Angie, colored pencils... yes, but also electrical tape, yup you heard it first here. It's super sticky, but still repositionable.  It comes in many colors and not just black. But since I had the black roll handy and no black washi to be found, I used it. I love the shiny look of the edges next to the colorful image.

As I said I used my color pencils to bring the image to life. I also grabbed another of Angie's images, but that's for another day.

Here's where you can find the Unicorn Love image for yourself. Click on the image for a direct link to Angie's Digital Designs. All of the images are for personal use only.
I hope that you have an amazing day, know that the Lord is with you, always watching over us. Wheterh in our hour of need or just to be there to help us grow in Christ.

Hello and welcome back to the blog. Today was very cool, I started off with a great Bible study. I made the card below and have been working on small changes that are going to be happening at the house.  I'll share more of that soon.

Nothing like a whole-house remodel over the next year or so to clear your mind and clutter!   Yup, we plan on removing the 70'tys paneling and put up drywall.  We have a huge problem with heat during the summer, here in Arizona. So that type of update is a must-have. Been looking for additional items to go into the craft space aka my office.  I've gotten many great pointers from YouTube.com and other bloggers/vloggers. I can't express my happiness to get started on the projects.  We will be building a smallish garage, 12x24 with a loft and all-new concrete. Then onto fencing the property.  Once the garage is built, we will have a staging area for placing most of the items from room to room as we start each project. Because we don't have the money to live elsewhere we'll be staying in the house during the construction. That should be fun, lol! Anyway, I should get to the card for today's post. But thanks for reading what's happening here at the house.

Today's card is all about Washi from Altenew.  Monochrome washi is about 4 1/2 wide. So it's perfect for cardmaking.  I added it to a piece of cardstock and trimmed it following the lines created by the floral design.  I wanted a big and bold statement, so I went with the Caps Bold Alpha Dies and used my Desert Night Oval Inkpad on white cardstock to make the cardstock color what I needed. Die-cut it and attached it with liquid glue, for long-lasting adhesion. I went through my stamp sets for a great sentiment to go with it and found Story of us, which has great fonts. Using a T ruler I lined up my die cut letter and glued the outside ones first then the center ones to help with the alignment.  Cut a rounded edge on one end of the sentiment and adding everything to my base and my card was complete.

Each day is a blessing from God, I hope you have been enjoying the posts. This journey is about living the best I can, through crafting and my Christian life.  If you are looking for a great morning bible study, you can find mine on Facebook.com/evabussom every day at 8am MT (PT during summer).  Well, that's it for today.  A little pray before you go:  My Lord our God lift you up in his glory. Giving you strength, courage and grace. Amen
