SIP#61 Tic Tac Toe Challenge featuring Reverse Confetti

Hello and good morning!
My day started like any other... grands showed up shortly after 5:30 am PT. I put them back to bed for a bit... then I got a vid call from Andrea over facebook, we chatted for a bit and that's when she told me that SIP has a new tic tac toe challenge! WOOHOO... Got right to work, meanwhile, the hubby got home, the grands woke up and had breakfast... and now they are happily watching the cartoons, while I write up my post! :) Butter has a dental appointment today, but other than that, I'm just kickin' back during my break from school! :) I love my life!!!

So here's what I did... Using my new RC products that I picked up from Justin over at the Stamp Ink Paper Store in NY (gotta love phone orders).

The first item is the totally cute; Lift me up and the celebrations stamp sets! I did a quick ZIG watercolor wash, in Green. Next, I stamped my sentiment and heat embossed it in Black on vellum!
For the stripe, I added a bit of Sunshine & Happiness prints from Simple Stories, LOVE!!!

My final touches I added some Sprinkles, which are totally Doodlebug from the Boy's Collection. Plus some Gold Color Shine, by Heidi Swapp!

Well that's it for now...

Until next time,

Dream job

Did a card this evening, instead of last night.. the hubby has been doing some OT so, its been wrecking my normal crafty time in the evening.  I pulled out a stamp I bought from a fellow crafter and friend Regina.  It turned out better than I could of imagined!

I started by pulling out my Spectrum Noir Markers, Memento Ink, and the Ai Stamp set 4160 Sleeping on the Job lol...  My friends know I nap daily to help combat my Dystonia (PKD) which wears me down something terrible.  The sentiment is what I loved about the set, even more than the actual image.  I love Nap time.. what can I say.. oh yeah, back to what I did! LMAO

After I did all of the coloring in, I started looking at paper pads for one that would go with the stamp, and I chose the I AM from Simple Stories... I can imagine the gal in the image would be dreaming about the things she is feeling... given that the sentiment says she's clearly overworked!

I added a gray layer and of course I've got my Simon Says Stamp 120lbs cardstock for the base!

The last things I did was fussy cut the top part of the stamp, to show off the paper and give me a place to put my Pretty Pink Posh sequins!

Well that's it for today

Until next time

CYCI#83 Back to School Edition

Wow... can you believe it... its that time again... in some states kids are already back, but here in Oregon we don't until after labor day!

I got started by grabbing my Simple Stories Smarty Pants paper stack, and selected a few pieces to use for my card today! Then I grabbed my Unity Stamp Co. Birdie Conversation stamp set, and fell in love with the "We are cheering you on" sentiment along with a birdie and flag, which I colored in with my Spectrum Noir Markers.  I added some yarn and a few sequins to finish off my card!
My card base is Cherry Cobbler from Stampin' Up!

CYCI#77

Hope everyone had a lovely 4th of July!!!

I decided to turn the sketch, and it looks awesome!
I busted out my favorite new stamp set for this one... You've got this by Stampin' Up!
I went simple just Memento Black ink, with a touch of Mossy Meadow in the stems. I also used Mossy Meadow for my cardbase, along with some kraft cardstock. I added in some thick twine that I have from a kit...  and yup thats it! I hope you like it

Late last night I did a second card, cause I loved the sketch so much!

So this card is using some of my recent purchases from Pretty Pink Posh using the 10mm Metallic Silver Sequins, Simple Stories Enchanted paper pad, AC twine & Stampin' Up! Whisper White Baker's twine, along with some Sequins from Doodlebug in Limeade. I used a 1 3/4 circle punch in white, with Pear Pizzazz ink, and sentiment from Unity Stamp Co, Smile in your heart stamp set.
My cardstock is Stampin' Up! in Whisper White Thick, and Pink Pirouette.

Thats all.. for today!!
