Hello and welcome back to the blog! Happy Valentine's everyone! I hope you have a fabulous day! We already went out to eat the other day, just to miss the crowds. So today we are going to cuddle up and watch a few movies. Oh the cable guy came today, he actually showed up and we now know what the problem was and why our internet is so flaky! lol... I'm so glad it's not on our side of the wiring. Something on the box on the wire is broken, that's why our internet has been so bad. I've got to call them tomorrow and get credit for the other day! I also did a live yesterday, still a bit long (cough I'm rusty) but the very cool outcome. It's my favorite type of card, whimsy and fabulous! I also did a bit of doodling on it as well. Here's the link if you want to watch the live of me making today's card. https://www.facebook.com/evabussom/videos/10221270872976770/ This will take you directly to the live on my Facebook page. It's set to public, so if you have a problem please let me know. I've also trimmed down the live, into a fun quick version on YouTube. It's my first live turned into a video, so I hope you like it.
On to the card - Products from Altenew
I used a water coloring technique for this, you ink up your stamp and then spritz with a bit of water. It gives the stamps a softer appearance. I made this for the hubby for V day! Anyway, I used the Hello and Hugs for my sentiments and the beautiful Sunflower Daisy stamp set for the leaves. The colors I used were from the Sea Shore Mini Inks, in Volcano Lake and Lagoon. Altenew had the most amazing colors to chose from. I also did a bit of doodling, with a multiliner from Copic. For the little branches of leaves. Obsidian Black ink was used for the sentiments. I did this using a Misty, but it can be done with stamp blocks as well. I also added a splatter of black watercolor paint and some of Lagoon ink too!
The look I was going for was a bouquet of leaves and hugs! I think it turned out fabulous! I also used some watercolor paper which was a cold press, and some Jet Black cardstock as well. I added foam tape in between the layers to break up the layers.
Before I go, thought I would share a great deal for all of my friends
That's all for now, but may the Lord our God bless you. May his grace shine down upon you.
:)
