Girl and Guy Cards

Hello and welcome back! I know that I've been gone for a bit. My daughter successfully moved to Pheonix and my house is getting back to normal.  I miss the grands so much, but I'll be going to visit in two weeks to take a couple of boxes that got leftover from the shed. I guess we have to dig a bit deeper to find it. Oh well, it's a great reason to visit.  Since the last time I blogged, I've been working on cleaning up my house, fixing some of the smaller issues. I will be moving my desk into the old space whenever I can get to that. In other news the teenager will be turning 15 next month, I can't believe my baby is almost old enough to drive.  Other than two trips to Pheonix, I think the break was a good thing for me.

Let's see the cards I have today for you.

I love whenever Altenew releases new products. That doesn't always mean I can get them, but I had to have the new Nest Frames Die Set. I love the shape of the dies and with 6 different die sizes, you will enjoy them for a long time.  I also used some paper from the Summer Garden Paper Pack. The Sea Shore mini ink cube set came in handy today. I love the stencil and sentiment in those colors.

The layers really bring the card to life and the colors bring it all together. The stamp set Sincere Greetings has so many sentiments you can't go wrong. I used it on both cards. The word dies are different I used the Thanks die for this card, and a sentiment die set for my second.  My cardstock is 80lb white and Navy!

I added some Red Cosmos Enamel Dots as a finishing touch!

On the second card, I took the same approach but in a masculine card instead. This time I went with the Pastel Dreams paper pack, same stencil, and colors, but changed up the die sentiment and rotated the Nesting Frame die set, so it's from side to side and not top to bottom. I love it when you can do so much with a single set of dies.

The med tone green-blue, with the Navy cardstock, is so pretty. The yellow argyle pattern is beyond fabulous. For both backgrounds, I used the Classy Stripe Stencil with Sea Shore inks, along with a touch of the Moutain Mist Watercolor Brush Marker set - Winter Wonderland set.

A close up of the patterns on this card!

Well, that's it for today! Make sure that you check out Facebook.com/evabussom for the live I did making these and visit Altenew.com to get any of the items I mentioned and more!
