Summer Garden

Hello and welcome back! It has been a weird week... My back is still an issue, thus why I haven't been blogging. Sitting for too long doesn't make for a happy crafter.  I've been trying to get some cards ready to blog, I hope you enjoy!

Here are today's cards, yup two of them. My paper pack from Altenew.com is Summer Garden, I am obsessed with it. Such amazing prints in the pack that you won't be disappointed. Both of my cards fit the challenge at the spot, so why not add them to the challenge! :) I hope you will check them out!

Starting with my first card

Altenew's Sumer Garden paper pack is the inspiration for both of the cards today. But my first card is all about one of the prints that made a fabulous background.  I added a few layers in Gold Foil and Blush cardstock.

I have the Frilly Frame Die in Gold Foil, as the accent layer. Which looks amazing over the Summer Garden print. Then I used my Halftone Nesting Circle dies for the next two layers.  Both card bases were made with 80lb White cardstock.

Blush is one of those colors that can pretty much fit anywhere you'd like, so I used it on today's card. For both the third layer and small sentiment layer which is from the Hello and Hugs stamp set.

As you can see I used Obsidian Black for both stamps. With a bit of 80lb white cardstock for the Hello layer.  Thanks to the gold foil cardstock, my card didn't need any additional bling and this one is finished.

My second card

Again, I am using the Summer Garden paper pack.  This time I fussy cut one of the images from the pack.  The floral print was incredible to use, I was sad to have to cut it, but some things are bigger than ourselves! lol!

For a cutting tip with smallish areas add a post-it under the area for added stability to the area.  Which gives you amazing results.  I also added a touch of the Golden Edge Washi, at the bottom of the card.

For the sentiment, I went with my favorite stamp set - Label Love, its fabulous and universal for any card.  Plus it looks great in colors like this in Mountain Mist mini ink cube.

Altenew has so many incredible colors to chose from, collections and different media to use to get your cards looking fresh and outstanding.  Both card bases were made with 80lb White cardstock.

  1. Absolutely Gorgeous card Eva! I love Altenew's Paper Packs.. they are so beautiful! The added beautiful large sentiment was just the right touch on the first one. The paper is pretty enough on it's own but your fussy cutting on the 2nd one really took it to another level! So inspiring! Thanks so much for joining us over at The Spot Creative Challenge this week for our Spring Fling Theme!
