ltenew Build-A-Flower: Honeysuckle Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($200 in total prizes)

Hello and welcome back! Today its all about the  Build A Flower: Honeysuckle stamp and die.

Hopefully your coming to visit me from Colleen Balija blog and if not you can start here or visit Altenew!

I made two cards for the occasion. The first is a slim line card and the second is a A2 size card.
For my colors I selected Shades of Purple and Green Meadows along with a Black and White design. I used the Gradient lines washi tape and the Enamel Dots: Essentials Black and White colors.

I started by cutting my cardstock to 3 1/2 by 7 inch white 80 lb cardstock, then added my Gradient Lines Washi Tape to create a quick background. I created 2 flowers  with the Build A Flower: Honeysuckle using the layering guide in Shades of Purple and  Green Meadows.

I added a layer of white cardstock to add a bit of structure and a landing for the blooms. Which in turn broke up the lines, to give my designs a bolder look. The sentiment was added as was the Essential Black and White enamel dots.

For my second card, I used the same supplies, adding Jet Black cardstock to the mix.  I also turned the washi to get another style that worked beautifully with the Honey Suckle. I also used another sentiment from the stamp. As for the enamel dots, I included one of the hearts in my design.

Again, using the same Shades of Purple and Green Meadows and using a single bloom and a pair of leaves.  The were so many wonderful sentiments in the set to choose from, but I kept it simple and uplifting!

By changing the direction of the Gradient lines washi I made the A2 card look larger.  Again I used the Essential Black and White enamel dots to finish my card.

Up next we will begin again at Altenew!

  19. It is nice to see this in purples. But perhaps next time you could enlarge the images a bit? It is hard to see the details.

  22. Asters tend to grow like teenagers--tall and gawky. Most varieties reach 2-4 feet in height; dwarf asters stay smaller, of course. Keep your asters under control by frequently trimming stray branches and spent flowers. protectandheal-dnu
