Hello and welcome to the blog! Today is a hard day, most of this week will be the same way, and on Thursday my daughter and her hubby are moving out of our home and into a place of their very own.  So most of the weekend went to boxing and packing all of the things my kid has here.  So the house is a wreck and sorry I just don't have a card to share.  However, I did manage to make two quick n small comfy blankies for my grands, did a bit of water coloring (see below) and watched a couple of movies, since I can't really get to my desk at the moment.

Using Watercolor Brush Markers - Winter Wonderland set and the brand new Paint A Flower: Rose from Altenew I managed to create this fabulous piece. I'm sure at some point I will either frame it or put it onto a cardbase!

I mixed up a lot of the colors in the Winter Wonderland set to get the colors the way I wanted.  It still needs some splatters, but maybe when I get my office space cleaned up after the move.

Posts this week will be short and sweet. But my schedule should be back to normal afterward.
Heavenly father thank you for everything! We are blessed.

Hello and welcome back to the blog. Today was pretty much as I thought it would go, crafty chat, followed by a nap then movies.  I made three cards today, but only one made the cut. I will share the other tomorrow, maybe.  The kids and Bill gave me some fabulous Valentine's gifts, chocolate, chocolate, and more you guessed it CHOCOLATE!!! lol.  I jokingly asked my hubby to come and type the blog for me, he was like okay, then I started writing today post.  He randomly went off in the other direction to do something in the kitchen. I love that man but he is too funny at times. The teenager went to see a play at the high school, and the dogs are happy as always. Every day I get a bible verse in my inbox (aka email) and today was, Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 1 Corinthians 13:4 NIV and with that let's see what I've made today!

So now that we're getting into spring type of cards, I thought I'd share a birthday card. It's strange but I hardly ever make them. I love Thank you cards, and seasonal cards but birthday ones just don't seem to be on the radar.  However today I'm breaking with my norm and sharing one with you.

Starting with the Altenew stamps, I've used two of them for this card.  First up is Paint A Flower: Poppy, I only used a single sentiment "Happy Birthday" and the second stamp is Bold Floral Drap, for the body of the card. Since it is a background stamp, I used about 2/3 of the image on my card.
My ink, on the other hand, is simply two colors. The first being Obsidian Black, it's my go-to ink for sentiments and outlining images. Then a bright bold color like Coral Berry, which is part of Red Cosmos, which was my first set of Oval Inks from Altenew.

Let's talk about cardstock, cause normally I grab the 80lb White Neenah Solar White from Altenew and Jet Black too! I used them the most. So I have a lot of them on hand, precut and ready to create with. I cut a stack just the other day. I also create base cards with either 80lb or 110lb Neenah cardstock.

Lastly, the extra's like paint splatters or Copic Multiliner. I love adding those little details that matter and take a card to the next level. Well, that pretty much sums up the card today.

Really quickly I want to thank all of you who have been visiting the blog, I appreciate your visits.  I pray that our heavenly father,  God is always watching over us.

Hello and welcome back to the blog! I was chatting with Jeanne when I made today's card. I try to make most things well in advance so that I can work around my life, but sometimes that doesn't always work.  I took some time today to reflect on what I want to accomplish this year, the house, my Christian life, and the relationships that I have need attention as well.   Crating is my joy though, it gives me something that can't be explained.  I find love in each layer, color and finished project.

February is the month of love, knowledge, and forgiveness.  Today I share my faith.  Love for this life, knowing each day is a gift from God.

Today's card features Paint-A-Flower from Altenew which just happens to be in stock!  I used colored pencils on my stamped image. I also used the Rock Collection inks for color behind the image.  The cardstock today is Moon Rock, on 80lb White Cardstock. With a bit of splatter from my Obsidian Black ink.

That's it for today!  God Bless and stay crafty!

Hello and welcome back to the blog. Today I've got my take on the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches, but will get to that in just a moment.  First up, the day was crazy, I didn't get much sleep last night napped too long and too late! So today I only got a few hours of sleep.  However, I did manage to crafty chat with Jeanne, convince the hubby to take me to Home Depot to look at the cost for the back porch (it's more of a landing with 2 steps), but I need to start working on a sketch to explain to him what I'm thinking so we can go from there. The porch is going to cost about 600.00 but we have some of the materials already which makes it that much easier.  Anywho... Onto today's card!
This week at Freshly Made Sketches Jen T has a fabulous sketch for us.  So I used the equally fabulous Paint A Flower: Poppy stamp set from Altenew. Along with one piece of a print from their Reflection paper pad. I've been waiting for the perfect sketch to come along to use the graphic print, along with the right imagery to make it pop.  Along with some of my favorite Copic alcohol markers and Obsidian Black ink. To get any of the products used on today's post click the links to your right, which will take you to each of my affiliate shops.

Below is a close up of how I colored the poppy with R39, R29, R24, N4, N5, YG63, G28, G24.  The red paper in the background is from my stash. The sentiment is also from PAF: Poppy stamp set.

Have an amazing day! Be thankful and loved as you've been loved by our heavenly Father.
