The merriment of Mondays!

Well, its Monday, and I'm excited to get back to my new normal, the teenager is back to school from the holiday break, and bible study starts at 8am MT.  We are starting a new book, so that should be interesting.  We are reading the 5 Minute Bible Study for the Anxious Heart you can get it from Amazon. For the next 93 days, I will walk through the bible with my friends on Facebook. Each day shares a new bible reading,  questions to ponder, a short overture and a prayer. It is wonderful to think about the responses, my stories (I've always got something to say) and how what we read changes the way we think about things.

This was the sky the other day, I thought it was so beautiful, a simple reminder of what God has given us, beauty, calm, peace and wonder.  We just need to open our hearts to the world he made for us.

Crafty time

Its just past the holidays and honestly I couldn't wait to make a valentine's card. Like many other cardmakers, I've been making Christmas cards since August and was looking forward to something(anything) different.  Altenew has everything I needed to create two cards with similar but totally different looks.  For the first one, the Halftone Hearts was perfect, simple and easy to create amazing cards and projects.

I wanted these cards to stand out by using non-traditional colors.  Lavender Fields and Ocean Waves Oval Ink pads are beautiful colors that work together. They are both cool and calming tones.  Adding a touch of Obsidian Black ink was the finishing touch!

For my second card, I used the Halftone Hearts stamps set for the heart images and use the same ink colors. I added a different sentiment from Magnolia Heart and the wood print which is from Our Family 12x12 prints. By adding a touch of the same inks again, I changed the way the print looked. I love how it turned out.

Anyway, that's today in a nutshell...
May God grant you peace on this day, living in the light and growing in his faith!
