SIP#61 Tic Tac Toe Challenge featuring Reverse Confetti

Hello and good morning!
My day started like any other... grands showed up shortly after 5:30 am PT. I put them back to bed for a bit... then I got a vid call from Andrea over facebook, we chatted for a bit and that's when she told me that SIP has a new tic tac toe challenge! WOOHOO... Got right to work, meanwhile, the hubby got home, the grands woke up and had breakfast... and now they are happily watching the cartoons, while I write up my post! :) Butter has a dental appointment today, but other than that, I'm just kickin' back during my break from school! :) I love my life!!!

So here's what I did... Using my new RC products that I picked up from Justin over at the Stamp Ink Paper Store in NY (gotta love phone orders).

The first item is the totally cute; Lift me up and the celebrations stamp sets! I did a quick ZIG watercolor wash, in Green. Next, I stamped my sentiment and heat embossed it in Black on vellum!
For the stripe, I added a bit of Sunshine & Happiness prints from Simple Stories, LOVE!!!

My final touches I added some Sprinkles, which are totally Doodlebug from the Boy's Collection. Plus some Gold Color Shine, by Heidi Swapp!

Well that's it for now...

Until next time,
Eva

PDX Keeping Portland (Oregon) Weird!

So I was chatting with Justin the other day, and Hero Arts has these amazing city stamp sets by Clearly Kelly! Well, one thing led to another and bam! After I saw his card, I knew I had to case it! Most of you who know me, know that I don't case... except in rare occasions!
He's version was going to be posted on Friday, here we are...
I really loved how each of our cards has lots of wonderful on it!
There is a link near the end of my post to Justin's blog!
This is the craziest thing I've done all week...

Okay on to the card...
Like I said before, the stamp set I am using today is Clearly Kelly from Hero Arts.
There is the Fremont Bridge, a bike lane stamp, of course, the super cool coffee and donut! The there is a food truck! Each summer the city of Portland has a ton of food trucks with the best in the NW has to offer!  Topped off with an awesome PNW (Pacific NorthWest) is best stamp! I also cased the stamp in the background (which you can hardly see now) and since I didn't have a stamp die or punch... I created my own, I cut a 2 1/4 square piece of woodgrain cardstock and marked a 1/4 from each edge, and used my hole punch to create a stamp like shape. :) I was very proud of it!lol
I've done the mix of cardstock, chipboard, and vellum for my stamped images.
This set is fantastic, and it has everything PDX'y folks love!
Here's what I used on my card today
Bridge and blue strip  Cardstock - MFT Samps
Coffee cup and Kraft piece - Recycled Chipboard
PNW - Stampin' Up - C. Coral
Black Ink - Stazon, Memento
Food Truck - Spectrum Noir BT2-BT5
Bike Tag - Diamond Press - Tag die
Twine - Fun Stampers Journey Natural
Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen
Signo - White Gel pen
Stampendous - White Emboss powder on vellum cardstock
Cardbase - Simon Says Stamp - 120# ultra thick white
and last but not least
Sequins - Stamp, Ink, Paper Store - Hampton Ice clear 6mm cupped sequins

here's a close up :)

Oh and here's that link I mentioned above!
--->  Justin's <---
which I have no doubt will be epic, he doesn't do less than epic!!!

That's it for today.. Until next time!

SIP Store NY and LF

Just a really quick post before bed tonight!
I wanted to share on of the many cards I've made recently.. just haven't found the time to blog

Today's card is featuring a few Lawn Fawn stamps and dies, that I ordered from Justin's store  Stamp, Ink, Paper which just happens to be located across the country in New York state (I'm near Portland Oregon).

I used cardstock from MFT Stamps, and used Simon Says Stamp Rectangle Stitched dies for my top layer and SSS #120 thick white for my base!

I used the Stinkin' Cute stamp set and matching die and Sun & Moon dies, Simple Puffy Clouds and the matching Frames set as well.

I used both my Journey Platinum and Crafters Companion - Diamon Press for cutting my pieces for this card!
I used a bunch of Spectrum Noir alcohol markers, their new Sparkle pen in clear as well and a Signo White gel pen! The sequins used with from SIP (clear) and SSS (multi-colored).

Until next time,
Eva
