You Tube and A Squirrel Card

Hi everyone I'm back today to share my first YouTube link and
the products I used to make my adorable Squirrel card!

It's so easy to recreate this card, I have no doubt that you will be making your own very soon!

First up, let's talk cardstock!
I've got just a few colors used today. Cocoa Powder, Oatmeal Cookie, and Mirror Gold!
Up next is my embellishments, Black Licorice Twine, Gold Thread and some Fashion Gold accents.

For the Squirrel I used the Fall Elements Steel Rule Die! It's so totally falling you can't help but to fall in love with it!
My Print is Fall Fest which comes in a 12 by 12 size.

For the sentiment, it is part of Happy Text stamp set and the acorn comes from the Hello Fall Die Set

Now for my trick using the Gold Leaf with the White Liner tape...
I used a Dauber Dowel to rub the extra leaf off of the tape... it's super easy peasy!

It all came together so nicely, that I love it! :)

I hope that you will pick up some of the products seen on today's YT live.

Until next time... Stay Crafty!

Savvy 7 Blog Hop - All You Need is Love

Hey, thanks for joining me again this month!

We've got a great little hop, which seems to be growing each month!

Here's my card

Used some of my favorite products from Fun Stampers Journey today!

Using River Stone, Pineapple Smoothie, and Whip Cream cardstocks, along with a
print from the Sweet Spring 6x6 print, I've got a great design!

I went for non-traditional colors because it's one of my favorite combos!
For the heart, I used the Decorative Hearts dies (set of 6)!
The love is from the Snapshot Frames, one of my all time favs too!

For the finishing touches,  I added some sheer ribbon (from the holiday catty) and our Special Celebration sequins

Here are our hoppers and see you next time, Eva

I'm Back

Welcome Back!

It's been a while for me, skipped the first challenge of the year, was sick! Then Leadership happened - so much fun! New stuff! :) But I am back with a simple design for you today!

I designed the challenge colors because I just love how these colors go together... they are fabulous and even though they are cool colors they warm me up, when I see them together!

Here's my take on the challenge!

I went super clean on this one... for two reasons - one simple is fabulous and clean! I love it!
I used florals because I hardly ever do... not against florals, but they have been awesome! As in this case,  The Summer Romance prints from Fun Stampers Journey is perfect!  Along with the print, I selected Pretty Pansy and Brush Silver as layers and Whip Cream for my base card.  I used the Tags sr die with the hello, which is from Fabulous Bird. I masked off parts of the sentiment, inked it in Pretty Pansy and topped it off with a wooden heart button and some of my dyed twine.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you will join us for this awesome challenge!

Don't forget at CYCI you can use any products!

Until next time,
Eva

The Savvy 7 Blog Hop

This is our first hop, and I hope all of you will take time, to visit each of the hoppers.

Out theme this month is Snow Flakes! I love snowflakes, but not the mess you get with snow so this will be lots more fun that shoveling I promise!

 Anywho... on to my card!

I got started by selecting my cardstock for the project.  I went with Pretty Pansy, Cool Pool, River Stone, and Whip Cream for my cardbase.  Next, I wanted to add some texture, so going with an embossing folder was the perfect fit! Happy Holidays had snowflakes and trees, which remind me of the terrain in Oregon during the winter.   I added a bit of Whip Cream ink to soften the look. Then, I die cut a snowflake from the steel rule die Holiday Elements again in WC.  I dyed some of our Whip Cream twine, with some of the silks, in Cosmic Grape, Silver, and Turbo Teal to get that awesome deep purple color.  For my sentiment I went with Text Happy, the sayings are super cute and doing it in Whip Cream on the River Stone looked amazing!  For the finishing touches, the cut rhinestones were a perfect touch. I hope you've enjoyed my stop on the hop...

CYCI#143 Sketch & Giveaway

 Happy Holidays my Friends!

I decide to keep as true as possible with the sketch, I designed it to be clean and cute!

The only exception  I used my sentiment as part of my design, in the square area instead of below it.

I also kept the products simple, and easy to recreate

Starting with the New Year stamp set.
I added the black color to the star from the Amazing Accents, they are wood shapes! Totally loved it!
For the banner in the back, I used some of our Licorice Sparkle Tape, and again I used it as a border on the card base to create some simple fun!

Don't forget that this challenge is 3 weeks long, instead of two!
Giving the Design Team plenty of time to enjoy the holidays with family and friends!

I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

As a bonus, I am doing a random giveaway...
By leaving a comment below, you will be entered to win a
$25.00
Fun Stampers Journey Gift Certificate! US only.
Winner will be announced in my next post for CYCI on January 8th, 2017!

Thanks for a wonderful year... of friendship and crafty goodness!

CYCI#142 Colors by Wynn

OMGee.. has it been a busy two weeks!

Hey, everyone I've got a simple design with a bit of wow thrown in for fun!
I started with my Geo Burst die from Fun Stampers Journey,  which I did in Brush Silver cardstock.
Next, I added some Pretty Pansy cardstock to highlight areas as an inlay.  The Joy is from Holiday Script which sold out and no longer available, on Whip Cream cs and Black Licorice ink. My base is a top fold. With a couple finishing touches Black Sparkle Tape and some BL Twine!

I hope you enjoyed my design for this challenge!

Until next time,
Eva

CYCI#141 Sketch

When I put this sketch together, I thought this should be easy... well it wasn't as easy as I had thought! Needless to say... it's not my best work, but I kept true to the sketch, and I'm sure you'll be kind! lol!

Been sharing most of my work on Facebook and Instagram so stop by either of them, so see more!

:) Super Simple... BAH! lol!!

Here's what I used,  Striped Love background stamp, in Oatmeal Cookie ink from Fun Stampers Journey.  I added a sentiment from the  Holiday Script, in Black Licorice ink and added a layer of white fun foam which I cut using the matching die to the Peace sentiment.
Got some layers or Whip Cream, Oatmeal Cookie, and Black Licorice and a sliver of Candy Apple.
For my dots, I used some of the glaze dots and colored them with Cranberry Splash silk.

That's it for today, check out CYCI for the team's amazing designs

Until next time

CYCI#140 Welcome back

Welcome back!
We've revamped the challenge just a bit, and they will go for two weeks at a time now!

I've got some of my favs from Fun Stampers Journey for you, on my card.
I started with my square dies which I created a frame with. Then I worked on the top layer, which I added lots of Gold Silk on Butter Cream cardstock. My middle layer and card base are in Oatmeal Cookie and Butter Cream. I colored my square frame in Orange Creamsicle and added some Pineapple Smoothy in the background.  My leaf is from the Snapshot Frames die set, I cut three of the leaves, added some Oatmeal Cookie, Cranberry Bliss, and a touch of Orange Creamsicle to it.  Glue them together, to create a thicker piece, coated it in J. Glaze and added a simple bow from twine.

That's it for this card, I hope you will join us

Until next time

Wreath FSJ

I had a lovely weekend! Facebook was full of fabulous cards from my friends, and I was having a bit of crafters block!  Well, I'm glad to say that after a bit of crafty chat with Jeanne, about some projects I want to accomplish... something clicked.. and my brain was full of ideas! :)  Thanks, Jeanne!!! You Rock!
Wow... I am loving how this wreath turned out! :)
I used my snapshot frames on the holly leaves and berries - in Turbo Teal, Lemon Grass, and Brush Silver.  For the sentiment die, Joy I used Whip Cream! :)
The cardbase and layers are in Turbo Teal, Whip Cream, and Corrugated!

I added some silks in Electric Lime, and Silver!

I really enjoyed how this turned out... and glad to see that my mojo has returned!

Freshly Made Sketches #257 - A Sketch by Jen M

Got my Bloom Box in the mail today
& FMS just posted a new challenge.
 I went to work!

Fairy World is a fantastic stamp set, from Fun Stampers Journey and I knew I had to use it!
I did go a bit rogue on this... and used my zig's, however, I used them dry! Yup! I didn't add any water and used them as markers! :)  I did a simple base in Whip Cream and background using corrugated cardstock!  I took out a bit more WC cs and cut it down to 3 3/4 by 4 1/4 which gave me lots of space around to show off my gorgeous corrugated cs! :) I added some of my own Glaze Dots (I made em') in clear, and added a bow in Black Licorice to match my ink color. Almost forgot I rounded the corners!

Check out the challenge this week!

Until next time,
Eva

Up next came all of the other layers, mixing card stock with prints. In Cool Pool, Cranberry Bliss, Black Licorice, River and that cute snowflake design from Tis the Season prints.  For my sentiment layer, I grabbed Whip Cream and Oh Holy Stamp set!
I completed the card by adding a cute bow in BL Sparkle Ribbon and a bit of the print again.

Joy FSJ

Almost didn't do this post today and I didn't bother creating a card until just a bit ago...

I created this sketch for CYCI which makes a bit harder for me to post today.
I'm not one to give up on something I love, but there is only so much of me to go around. Lots of folks having been very kind in sharing their thoughts on CYCI ending... and I can't thank them enough. So, this card is for all the joy, the happiness, and heartburn and some days hell that running Can You Case It? was!

LOL!! I remember everything, the sketches, colors, and themes!
Back when this thing started, I had no idea what I was getting into

I still get butterflies in my stomach every time a post goes live!
Did I get everything right or screw something up?

Lots of folks were very kind... and others just passed me by
I think of the first card... it wasn't so great!
But I did it.. and just like today, I'll do it again!

So, that's it for today!

you know the drill.. everything is FSJ

This is Eva.... I'm out!

So here I am better late than never. :) Here we go!

I broke out the Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers in various colors and when to work on coloring my harvest stamp, and selected a sentiment from Thanksgiving Traditions from Fun Stampers Journey!
Up next, I chose the items for my layers and picked two ribbons and a print for the added layer and to frame out my coloring.  I used some bonbon sequins from Doodlebug for a finishing touch!

CYCI#137

We survived the first week of Homeschool (which is actually online school) and I am excited to see how next week is going to go! Butter is in Middle school now and has seven different instructors, one for each subject plus homeroom! The grands are all back to school as well!

Let's get this party started!

Amber selected the CYCI colors this week and I was so excited to give them a try!
I busted out my FSJ products: I used River Stone for the Gray,  Sweet Berry for Flamingo and Ken Oliver Chartreuse! I used two different stamp sets to get what I was looking for, with Damask Print as my main image and a sentiment from Creature Comforts.
I created a couple of small banners for layering, and tada, I have a smashing design!

I hope you have a wonderful week

Until next time
