Birthdays - The Spot Challenge #107

Hello and welcome back to the blog.
Today was fabulous, I finally got some sleep and I am feeling fabulous! So my friends at The Spot Challenge have a great birthday card challenge I had to join them.

https://www.thespotcreativechallenge.com/2020/04/the-spot-theme-challenge-107-birthday.html
Birthday cards are always fun, this one is for my granddaughter, she loves blue! The stamps and print are both from Lawn Fawn. I colored it with a couple of copics. Since I didn't have the dies, I fussy cut the images with my brand new scissors from Stampin' Up that I got from my friend Andrea

Have a fabulous day!
God Bless
:)

January 14 2020

Hello and welcome back.  Well, it's been one of those days, where it feels as if I've accomplished nothing.  I woke up at 5:15, waited for the Teenagers friend to show up, they get dropped off to hang with us in the mornings before the kids head off to school.  The boy slept in, so me and his friend watched Youtube for a while, mostly paint pours, but some cardmaking too!  After they left, I fed the dogs and got ready for Bible study on Facebook. It was a really good live today, you can see that b visiting Facebook.com/evabussom  I'm on around 8 am each morning Mountain Time.  After the Bible study was over, I hit the email, let the dogs out again and started to delete the messages one by one.  Let the boys back in, and started a load of towels, which I just remembered were in the washer, OOOPS... I'll be right back! okay... now they are in the dryer. Now I've got to run to Joann's and get the canvases that I ordered online, for in-store pickup.  I grabbed lunch, and headed home again, to pick up where I left off on my day.  Finally, the teenager got home from school, and well I'm just now making a card for tomorrow's blog post.  Some days go on without a hitch, this wasn't' one of those days.

Today I've got two cards, the one I made today, and another I made a bit ago but forgot to share.   The first is from Lawn Fawn and the second is from Angie Blom, via Scrapbook and Cards Papercrafting Magazine.
The Lawn Fawn card - an oldie but a goodie, the Baked with Love stamp set. Since my stand mixer is red, I knew what color I wanted to use on the images. Using my Copics in R24. R 29, R39 and Neutrals N0, N1, N2, and N3.  I also used two of Lawn Fawn's dies. The first being Quilted Backdrop and Outside In Stitched Scallop Circle Stakers Dies.  My red cardstock is from Parklane Jewel cardstock. and the white is from Altenew 80lb.

Here's a close up of the coloring images.

Here's my second card, Angie Blom, via Scrapbook and Cards Papercrafting Magazine.
I used my Prisma colored pencils in a variety of colors, on kraft cardstock.  The colored cardstock in Teal and White cardstock are both from my stash.  I also added a few Nuvo drops, I forget what color I used.

Here's the close up to show you all of the colors, and you like this you'll love Angie's new shop!  https://angieblomdigitaldesigns.com/

Anyway, that's it for now, I hope to see you again very soon. I will be working on a much bigger canvas that I've done before, so hoping to share that asap.  Until then...  God bless and grant you the peace you seek, in his holy name. Amen!

Hey all, I'm back today with the Freshly Made Sketches challenge

I'm using a few things from the Feb product release from Hello Blue Bird!
They have a fabulous line of products available.

I also used some prints from LawnFawn, enamel dots from Altenew and additional sequins on my take of the sketch!
I really enjoyed the clean look of the design, and I kept it that way. I used my Copic markers to color in the leaf and flower inside of the small photo stack die.

enjoy and God bless

Hello - Easy Ink Blending

Hello

Hi, I'm back today with a fabulous card. I learned how to use easy techniques to get the blending just the way you want it.  Amy Lee has an amazing way with color, I love each of the lessons. My favorite was how to blend by adding a layer at a time, here's my project for this class.

Getting this class is super easy, register at Altenew Academy!

I started by grabbing some Strathmore hot press watercolor paper and cut it down to A2 size which is 5 1/2 by 4 1/4. On Altenew 110# cardstock I used Shades of Purple ink cubes for the blending on my background and on my stamped layer as well I selected Frosted Garden because it's one of my favs. For my main layer, I also used Rock Collection and Green Fields and Frayed Leaf too! My hello die is from the Flower Arrangement set and I added a touch of vellum with the Handmade Tags dies.  To complete my card I added the scallop die cut from Lawn Fawn, Some clear Droplets from Pretty Pink Posh and some of the enamel dots from Altenew. The green twine is from American Crafts.

On a personal note, I made it through my 3rd day of no Facebook or Instagram, woohoo!
I didn't include blogging because I knew I would need a way to upload my work for my Altenew Educator requirements!

Until next time

SIP121 Tic Tac Toe - Hello

Hi everyone I'm back again for the latest challenge at SIP! I found it to be a bit more challenging than normal!  Since you have to have all of the elements in your design... well I went for the Leaf, Wood and Vellum option!  Funny story, I had everything on my desk and was ready to get crafty, so here's what I came up with!

I used Lawn Fawn Stitched Leaves, Simon Says Stamp Hello Painted Die, ARC Crafts Wood Veneer!

I started by die cutting 3 leaves and 5 hello dies!
I did the leaves with Angora Watercolor, in green, red, orange, brown and yellow.
The hello die was stacked and glued to create some depth.
I added a simple gold square to anchor my design. Lastly, I ass just a touch of Gold silk!

Here's a side shot of my card :)

Thanks again for visiting my blog

SIP Store NY and LF

Just a really quick post before bed tonight!
I wanted to share on of the many cards I've made recently.. just haven't found the time to blog

Today's card is featuring a few Lawn Fawn stamps and dies, that I ordered from Justin's store  Stamp, Ink, Paper which just happens to be located across the country in New York state (I'm near Portland Oregon).

I used cardstock from MFT Stamps, and used Simon Says Stamp Rectangle Stitched dies for my top layer and SSS #120 thick white for my base!

I used the Stinkin' Cute stamp set and matching die and Sun & Moon dies, Simple Puffy Clouds and the matching Frames set as well.

I used both my Journey Platinum and Crafters Companion - Diamon Press for cutting my pieces for this card!
I used a bunch of Spectrum Noir alcohol markers, their new Sparkle pen in clear as well and a Signo White gel pen! The sequins used with from SIP (clear) and SSS (multi-colored).

Until next time,
Eva

CYCI#118 A Sketch Challenge

For the challenge today, I went straight for Simon Says Stamp newest kit "Showered with Love".

I started by cutting my stitched circles with the plaid print from Lawn Fawn.
Up next is the cute stamped images called Happy Days from SSS, which I colored with my Spectrum Noir Alcohol markers using PP1, PP2, GT1, IB2 and my blender and on the enjoy die from SSS.
For finishing touches, I added a sticker from Pinkfresh Studio and some awesome cute and super fun sequins in beautiful colors!

Until next time...
Eva

Doing my splatter technique, I used the colors from the challenge,
with a bit of Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Gold and Wink of Stella Black.
I also added the December KOM from Unity Stamp Co. and sending my love for the sentiment.
Along with Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle Tags and some Natural Thread.

PCCC 172 A sketch by Pam

Hey it's time for another challenge at Paper Craft Crew!
I kinda felt my card needed something else... but I never did figure it out!
So if you have suggestions please post a comment!

I strayed a bit from the actual sketch,  I made an ornament from Lawn Fawn's Stitched Circle tags.
You know how you are lucky when you find something interesting? Well I did... that awesome kraft cardboard on the ornament and in the background! To top it off was in the new blankie for Gus our dog and I've got big plans for the rest of it! :) I ran the die through the big shot, with the cardboard and also some acetate, I used some Wink of Stella and Mister Huey's on it using my a splatter effect.

Up next came the cardstock, both the White cardbase and Black cs is from Simon Says Stamp and the plaid is from the Authentique collection Everlasting.   I stamp the sentiment Season's Greetings from the Hero Arts Kelly's S'no Problem set in Memento Black and the snowflake in Stazon Black on the acetate sheet! Last I added a little bow of white twine.

Until next time,
Eva

Well... looky here, I'm over at  Paper Craft Crew along with the
rest of the design team, and have we got a sketch for you!

My card today, has to main area's the layered and sentiment areas.

When I started putting my card together, I put some post its in a rectangular shape, to build my background. I used my reInkers from Stampin' Up! in Soft Sky and a sponge dauber. After I let it dry a bit, I used some Stazon white ink reInker to do as my splatter, which I repeated on my cardbase too! Up next was selecting my sentiment... Which I love the new Special Delivery from Taylored Expressions, and did that in Black Stazon. Up next was the layered area, two banners in Blue and Gray, and a Sparkly ornament  with some Twine and a Penguin die from  Echo Park. The finishing touch was added some enamel dots.

Note: for the penguin die, instead of using three different pieces of colored cardstock, I used white and colored it in with my Spectrum Noir markers.

Until next time,
Eva

Bowling yesterday was a blast! Both William and Noelle (my grand daughter) got strikes and did way better than their averages!!! Kaylee hung in there and knocked down lots of pins! Meanwhile Keira and I were sitting in the high tops and coloring some images. I had a blast!

Well its Sunday and Can You Case It? has CAS Sketch for us this week!

I used my Newton's Nook Frozen Friends stamp set today.

I kept my card CAS.
I've got one part Newton's Nook and Two part Lawn Fawn.

The Holly Berry Twist Striped paper and Hugs stamp are both from Lawn Fawn, aren't they adorable!
For my snow couple, I've done them in shades of blues and pinks with simple additions like the carrot noses and blue scarfs.  I did a dash line/stitch with my Journal Pen from Project Life.  Lastly is a simple twine bow in white.  All of the white cardstock is Simon Says 120lb, which is awesome as card bases and layering too!

Stop on over at canyoucaseit.com and join in on the fun this week!

Until next time...

Noel

Good morning everyone.... today I'm back with a cute no stamping needed card.

I know what you are thinking, but Eva I love stamping,  duh and me too.
But there are times when we need something but don't have the right stamp.  Today I've focusing on my Scan n Cut which to be perfectly honest has been sitting on the shelf for a while now.
Sad I know!

A recent surge in users has given me the push I needed to say I'm going to use it, and if I make mistakes, so be it!  Well it works awesome, it however lacks the wham that other electronic cutters have to offer, and I am hopeful that Brother will create new designs.

Okay on to today's card. I started cutting the Noel on my Scan n Cut, it's just one of the many built in selections you can do. Next I pulled out a piece of the Lawn Fawn petite paper pack Lets Bokeh in the snow. Next came the ARC crafts wood veneer which comes on a pretty good sized roll.
To give the card a nice bit of support, I added a layer of craft foam under the top layer.
in the end I decided to add some of my Little Things by Lucy's cards Sequins and some AC light blue twine. well that's about it.  Oh, wait the card is a normal A2 size (4 1/4 by 5 1/2), with the top layer being a 1/4 smaller at 4" by 5 1/4".

Until next time
Eva

PPA267 Fall in watercolor

Today's card is for the Paper Players
with their Clean and Simple Leaves challenge!

Its been a while since I've done one of the challenges at the Paper Players... so when my friend Andrea said they had CAS and Leaves challenge I had to give it a try!

I did two little leaves using the Lawn Cuts Stitched Leaves on Spectrum Noir watercolor paper.

I used my cease pad, so that my leaves didn't cut all the way through, so I could pop up the outter edges with a mini foam tape square. I used some of my favorite fall colors, Gold Wink of Stella, Stampin' Up! reInker's Daffodil Delight, Always Artichoke and Cajun Craze on the leaves, and splattered it on the background. Then came the sentiment, which is from Simon Says Stamp Hand Lettered Winter Wishes, which has my favorite stamp "Thanks" which was done in Tim Holtz distress ink tea dye and then outlined in gold WOS.
I mounted the watercolor layer onto some craft cardstock and
added 5 droplets from Pretty Pink Posh  to finish it off.

Until next time
