CYCI#106 A Sketch Challenge by Elizabeth

Wow... I can't believe how quickly my week off of school went! Grades are in and I got the A I was expecting! Woohoo.... 4.0 for my first term! Phycology starts on Monday and I am so excited to see what that class has in store for me!  Any who... Today's sketch is from Elizabeth, she did an exceptional job on it too!

I went straight to my paper stack stash to see what I could work with on this card!
The Studio Calico's Wanderlust collection was perfect!

I love blues and greens together, I made a simple but fun birthday card for a kiddo!
I added the freebie stamp set I got from Simon Says Stamp - Birthday Celebrate which has the super cute Elephant on it, the birthday sentiment and lots of others to keep it useful all year long.
Next I took out my Simon Stitched Rectangle dies, and some acetate for the shaker portion of my card.  I colored in the Elephant with Zig Clean Color watercolors.  Some black thread and one sprinkle for the hat! I'm using 120# white cardstock for the base, a bit of Doodlebug dolphin and watercolor paper too! The last thing I added was Little Things from Lucy's Cards in Atmosphere and Snowdrift which I mixed together, along with a bit of Simon's seed beads!

I hope you'll like my card and that you will join us at CYCI for another week of fun!!!

Until next time!

Antics again

Hey had a bit of time this afternoon, so I pulled my
Artic Antics stamp from Penny Black and got to work.

Here's what I used on the card today...
Doodlebug Cardstock Green, Blue  and Stampin' Up! Basic Gray
Then I've got a bit of  Studio Calico Wanderlust paper pad, that green dotted stripe.
AC gray thread! Lucy's little things and Pretty Pink Posh.

Spectrum Noir alcohol marker were used to color in the the sweet polar bears.

Until next time...

last day to itty bitty

today is the last day to enter a card into the itty bitty challenge,
that Unity has been doing all month long.

Today's card is about two things, first I noticed when I was sorting my cards,
I really didn't have any baby boy cards and two I hadn't used my Bundle Congrats set yet!

Lisa Arana is the artist who designed the stamp, and its weird to me,
but I never paid attention to who the artist who until my friend Andrea mentioned it.

After going through my stamps, I realized that I had a lot of Lisa's without knowing it!
I guess I just like the way she thinks! lol...
I am also hoping along with Unity

Well... lets talk about my card I have a simple clean white card base Simon Says Stamp 120lbs cardstock. With the paper pad from Studio Calico Wanderlust collection.   I stamped my images, and then water colored it in blues and grays. I did a bit of the splatter in Wink of Stella Silver! I added a raised flag with the sentiment.

Well thats it for today... I think :) ya never know

Until next time
Eva

CYCI#82

This week I did the sketch for CYCI#82...

This week has been long, sad and exciting.. all together!
Butter is working hard to finish up his math book ... he's done over 6 chapters in just two weeks!  Writing is still a challenge to him, and I gotta laugh, cause I love to write! I will share some of that sometime soon!
Anyway.. here's my card and have a wonderful Sunday!

While I was working on another project and chatting with my friend Andrea on facetime, I had some pieces layin' out so I took one from that, and added it to this one!

Yup, the star!  I grabbed some think cardstock for my base and then went through my designer paper... and picked the decorative tattered boards from Studio Calico Wanderlust pad. along with some vellum and cherry cobbler from Stampin' Up!

I used the vintage set Lots of Thanks for my sentiment in Bermuda Bay. My barn star is in early espresso and Sizzix star dies with Wink of Stella Gold for the simmer.. I added some gold thread (from the sewing area of Joann's) and I finished it with Doodlebug Sequins!

Thanks for the inspiration Andrea!

A special birthday card

Okay... you know those days where you have most of the pieces of a puzzle together, and you spend time looking for the missing pieces? Yup this card and me had one of those... I showed it to the hubby... he said it was off...  Bells and Whistles are going off in my head... I need a third opinion (the first was mine) so I went to the one person I knew could tell me if what the hubby thought was correct.. I mean the hubby being right... about my card??? Crazy right.... not so much!  So I instant message my friend Justin on fb and show him the card... he says about the same thing... Now I know there's a problem... Then I find Tammy online... and she said the same thing, okay... thank goodness for adhesives removers :)
Thanks for helping me out Justin and Tammy!!!

Well after reworking a bit of the card... you see the final product... some card have a happy ending, even from the beginning while others... well.. don't!

I tried a new stamp today... hot off the UPS truck... I started with Art Impressions unmounted stamp Fire Out set... you'll see the sentiment in the lower right hand corner and started grabbing for my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers, and got to work.  My paper pad is from Studio Calico, from the wanderlust collection.. which maybe old but its new to me... and I just love it!  I also used Stampin' Up! Endless Birthday Wishes, in Memento Black ink... okay so pretty much all the black ink is Memento.. my cardstock is Simon 120lb thick cardstock and my sequins are from Doodlebug!!! Oh yeah, I also used stitched rectangles for the paper pad layer, and some Wink of Stella on the glasses, shoes and hair! !

This card is going to someone very special very soon...
cause their birthday is next week... heck I'm going to to hand deliver it!

In other news... convention is not to far off..
just 15 more day (counting tomorrow)
I can't wait to see all my friends -crafty people!

Well thanks for stoppin' by
Eva
