CYCI#123 Color Challenge - Challenging

This was one of those challenges... you know.. the know the ones that stump you! Ya, that kind!
Well, the colors were selected by Elizabeth this week, yup... I love her... and how she really made me work for it! Hugs!!  Anywho... on to the challenge!

So as I thought about the challenge, I was inspired by a friend who's been there since I started making beautiful cards and a few ugly ones too... One of my crafty friends who just happens to live all the way on the other side of the country!   Justin recently opened his own store called SIP (Stamp Ink Paper) in New York! I had to get some of the cool stuff's he has in stock! Check it out... here's what I got

Lots of goodies, and I also picked a few of his personal sequins mixes!
Yum!!!

The Little Bitty Bag from YNS offered an opportunity to put something inside,
so I went with SIP's Hamptons Ice, which is a crystal clear 2mm sequins!
I mean who wouldn't love sparkly sequins? Right!!!

okay... so let's get to what I used in today's card!

Altenew - Label Love
Simon Says Stamp - Painted Thanks die, 120# thick white cardstock, Stitched Rectangle Dies
Stampin' Up! - White Twine, Real Red and Night of Navy reInkers
Doodlebug - Sprinkles
Richard Garay - Amazing Dots
You Next Stamp - White Kraft Little Bitty Bags
Pretty Pink Posh - Metalic Stars
Memento - Tux Black Ink

Featuring SIP - 4mm Clear Sequins

Well that's it
Until next time

Global Design Project #037 Colour Challenge

Had a bit of time tonight so I thought I'd go GDP's challenge a try!
I mixed my reInkers (Colors from Challenge) on my mat and laid watercolor paper on it. Next, I found a sentiment, from Simon Says Stamp, set called Hello Beautiful... which I heat embossed with Stampendous Opaque powder and added triple knotted natural twine as my accent!

That's it!

Until next time

PCC178 A Sketch Challenge!

Hello, I'm back at Paper Craft Crew!
I've been cutting back on the number of challenges I am able to do because of school!
Pam has been wonderful about my availability!

For today.... I gotta say this was a tough sketch, I'd just finished my course work, and was unable to get to it.... well I was messing around with some of the cuts I'd done with my Scan N Cut, a while back, and found this adore... and thought that would awesome gold, or black.... as you can see I went with Gold, I used the sprayer from the Heidi Swapp color shine! Yep the sprayer end, and not the applicator like I do for my splatter work.

I used some washi that I had laying around, the gold heart was from Stampin' Up! and the XO is from Doodlebug.  The woodgrain paper is from Simon Says Stamp.
Next is the hearts, I cut the red one with a die and the white corrugate from Little B, with an old punch.  I added some thread and a few mini staples to complete my card!  You can see a close up below!

Well, I hope you liked my card!

Until next time

PCCCS170

Well... looky here, I'm over at  Paper Craft Crew along with the
rest of the design team, and have we got a sketch for you!

My card today, has to main area's the layered and sentiment areas.

When I started putting my card together, I put some post its in a rectangular shape, to build my background. I used my reInkers from Stampin' Up! in Soft Sky and a sponge dauber. After I let it dry a bit, I used some Stazon white ink reInker to do as my splatter, which I repeated on my cardbase too! Up next was selecting my sentiment... Which I love the new Special Delivery from Taylored Expressions, and did that in Black Stazon. Up next was the layered area, two banners in Blue and Gray, and a Sparkly ornament  with some Twine and a Penguin die from  Echo Park. The finishing touch was added some enamel dots.

Note: for the penguin die, instead of using three different pieces of colored cardstock, I used white and colored it in with my Spectrum Noir markers.

Until next time,
Eva

Monday Mashup

Today's mashup is Echo Park and Craftin Desert Divas

I started by using Craftin Desert Divas dies Stitches Circle Dies along with Echo Park paper Pad Hello Winter and enamel dots and the Snow Cold Stamp set!

Then I stamped "Baby its cold outside" in Night of Navy ink from Stampin' Up!
On white 120lbs cardstock from Simon Says and using fun foam inbetween the layers!

Adding a simple bit of twine and enamel dots to finish off the circle.

Until next time,
Eva

Got Coffee take 2

Hey I'm back with the Craftin Desert Divas Got Coffee stamp set for some more fun!

Today I worked on craft cardstock, and prismacolor white (tan and pink) colored pencils on the bear holding a cuppa joe! I used the CDD Stitched in Circle dies, and I just love them! So I brought out my SU reInkers and my Wink of Stella, and went to work, on a splatter pattern that I layered in light pink, bright pink, gold and a touch of black. Then ran it through my bigshot with SSS Rectangle stitched die. I decided to chop my black Scalloped circle layer (Simon Says Stamp Black cardstock) in half, and place them on opposite ends. Which left me with enough area to give some color too!
I added a simple pink double ribbon.
Until next time!

PCCCS168 a Sketch by Crystal

Hey This week we have another awesome sketch at Paper Craft Crew, by Crystal.

Here's my design team card :)

I used my Scan N Cut for the candy cane and snowflakes and even the craft cardstock layer with rounded corners. lol .... I love it!  I added some Pretty Pink Posh clear seed beads to my candy cane not as a shaker... yup its new to me too! I glued down the bits so that the entire area of each opening would have some glam to it. Next I added some simple touches, like a clear button, natural thread and black cardstock to bring all of the elements together. My sentiment of choice was Ho Ho Ho, from Stampin' Up! Good Greetings above a simple white cardstock strip. I loved the sketch, and I hope you do too! Don't forget to join us this week.

Until next time

PPA267 Fall in watercolor

Today's card is for the Paper Players
with their Clean and Simple Leaves challenge!

Its been a while since I've done one of the challenges at the Paper Players... so when my friend Andrea said they had CAS and Leaves challenge I had to give it a try!

I did two little leaves using the Lawn Cuts Stitched Leaves on Spectrum Noir watercolor paper.

I used my cease pad, so that my leaves didn't cut all the way through, so I could pop up the outter edges with a mini foam tape square. I used some of my favorite fall colors, Gold Wink of Stella, Stampin' Up! reInker's Daffodil Delight, Always Artichoke and Cajun Craze on the leaves, and splattered it on the background. Then came the sentiment, which is from Simon Says Stamp Hand Lettered Winter Wishes, which has my favorite stamp "Thanks" which was done in Tim Holtz distress ink tea dye and then outlined in gold WOS.
I mounted the watercolor layer onto some craft cardstock and
added 5 droplets from Pretty Pink Posh  to finish it off.

Until next time

PCCCS166 A sketch Challenge

Butter started the new school yesterday, and while we are having to start at the beginning on many of the subjects, we are very happy that ORVA could enroll him so quickly! :) More updates on that later this week!

I've got just a few more weeks until my classes start for this fall.. and I'm getting really excited about returning to continue my education as well...  I've been working closely with advisors and others in the financial aid department to nail all the details so I can order my books and whatnot on time!

Anyway... on to today's post

Paper Craft Crew is up today.... I just love being a part of the design team!

Back and today I've got some of latest products from MFT and Lawn Fawn too

I started by coloring in my adorable elf, who is part of the My Favorite Things stamp set aptly named  Santa's Elves! This set comes with three adorable elves, three sentiments and eight additional stamps that will make you smile every time you use them! They are that freakin' cute!!!

The paper pad in the background comes from Lawn Fawn, "let's bokeh in the snow" in a 6 x 6.

I've got some sprinkles from Doodlebug in white, charcoal twine from AC and clear Sequins and Droplets from Pretty Pink Posh! I used my circle stitched dies from Simon Says Stamp too!

Of course I used my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers to color in my little elf, who just had to have read hair like Butter's!  The cardstock accents are Doodlebug and Stampin' Up!

Have a wonderful week everyone!

Until next time!

PCCCS165 A Sketch Challenge!

Hey I'm back with Paper Craft Crew after taking last week off...

Today sketch had me working over-time,
I'm more of a clean and simple type of artist when it comes to card making,
but this is a challenge... afterall!  LOL

Decided to pull out my new Pretty Pink Posh Darling Friends Stamp set with matching dies
and some of my Stampin' Up! paper pad Cherry On Top and some Doodlebug cardstock too!
I'm also using some Simon Says Stamp White 120lbs cardstock as my card base.

I love when you can mix and match up different products and make them fabulous!
For the coloring, I used my Spectrum Noir in Pinks and Blues, and each of the super cute animals each a different color... with pink cheeks!

I finished up with some Sulky's Silver Metallic thread and some Pretty Pink Posh Sequins: Sparking Clear cupped!

Until next time

Used the 120lbs cardstock for my base from Simon Says Stamp
Rectangle and Circle Stitched dies too!

Of course no card is complete without some Pretty Pink Posh

I love the Taylored Expressions stamp set I got...
You've Got Mail - Fall is so flipping cute... I want them all!!!

lol...
Here's what I did

my bestie Laura gave me a paper stack from Multi Craft, I picked the orange sheet with all its texture I love how well it went with the stamped layer... Oh and Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling clear sequin came in handy, love those!  Used my Stitched Rectangles from Simon Says Stamp too... and my washi is from SU.  Went all out on coloring in my image, I tried new paper to color on Copic Blending paper, even though I used my Spectrum Noir markers instead, it worked like magic!! Will be buying more of that! My cardbase is 120lbs cs and Friends die is from SSS...

I've entered this card in the Simon Says Stamp Challenge No pattern paper
Using Taylored Expressions

That's my quick post for the day.. see you again tomorrow when I do my CYCI weekly post!

Until then...

Badass

Unity Stamp Co has a line of stamps called ittybitty
They are individual stamps and sentiments that pack a punch of fun and touch many peoples (he)art!

Today... I'm sharing a project that took me a bit to put together, as I tried new things to get the background the way I wanted... and I love how it turned out and I hope an ittybitty you do.

I did this one for me... some days you need to be a badass!

I'm pretty good at making card, less so with video's but..
some folks wanted to know how I did the background..
So with Butter (my son) holding the cam I went to work to show how I did the background.

Like I told my friends, if you heat emboss clear or white under the colors it would be epic!

Until next time...

Eva

PCCCS163 Tic-Tac-Toe

Oh... look at this something totally new for Paper Craft Crew!!!
A Tic Tac Toe challenge!!!
I went for the middle down, which is Birthday, embossing and Ribbon.

My card today is totally for the guys in our lives...  I went with Kraft cardstock along with a stripe pattern embossing folder (Stripes), and a white cardbase, along with black cardstock all from Stampin' Up!  I went really clean and easy... I added a sentiment from my Simon Says Stamp collection called Big Birthday Wishes, in Memento Black, and added some twine left over from one of the tag a bag kits!  Hope you have a wonderful day...

Until next time

CYCI#87 A Color Challenge

Love this color challenge... so many blues to chose from....
I went with Stampin' Up! Marina Mist, Soft Sky and Lost Lagoon..

While I did use my reInkers for the main area of color which is a single layer I also added the Thanks from Simon Says Stamp's Hand Lettered Winter Wishes, in Stazon black, and I went over it in Wink of Stella Black...and for my splatter too!  Then I added tons of SSS and Pretty Pink Posh sequins in Moonshine and Sparkling Clear. I added a simple black cardstock backing, mounted onto a SSS 120lbs base card!  I've kept my design clean and simple to really show off my blue colors!

Until next time
