PCC214 2 week challenge

Did you see the update and all new look over at Paper Craft Crew?
Well, you should check it out! I did... and found this awesome challenge going on!

Pulled out lots of Fun Stampers Journey products for my take on the sketch!

My sentiment stamp is from Oh Holy and the background has lots of fun layers of colors, die cuts and bling! I used the Silver & Electric Lime Silks, Blue Lagoon Splash, and some rhinestones too!
from the Richard Garay product line, I used the amazing dots which come in a pack with three colors Gray, White, and Black. To finish off my card, I added a bit of thread and a River Stone card base!

That's it for this design

Until next time
Eva

PCCC174 Sketch Challenge

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas around our house.
The tree is up, the presents are stacking up and the house smells of cookies.

I hope you feel blessed, like I do!

Well now... I got some time to join the rest of the design team over at Paper Craft Crew this week!
We have a fabulous sketch for you and incredible ideas from the DT cards!

When I started this project, I wasn't happy with how things were coming along, and managed to get through several ideas, before finally coming up with this one!

Unity Stamp Co's Snowglobe Wonderland was the stamp set I used for today's card
I took the sentiment, which kind of says it all for this time of year, and the snowman which couldn't be any cuter!  I took colors from my stash from Simon Says Stamp (red & Black) and Doodlebug (green).  Along with my 120lb white cardbase.  I used a small black thread bow, and lots of Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine!

Well I've got to get back to the books, and prepare for another large paper due tomorrow!

Until next time!

PCCC 172 A sketch by Pam

Hey it's time for another challenge at Paper Craft Crew!
I kinda felt my card needed something else... but I never did figure it out!
So if you have suggestions please post a comment!

I strayed a bit from the actual sketch,  I made an ornament from Lawn Fawn's Stitched Circle tags.
You know how you are lucky when you find something interesting? Well I did... that awesome kraft cardboard on the ornament and in the background! To top it off was in the new blankie for Gus our dog and I've got big plans for the rest of it! :) I ran the die through the big shot, with the cardboard and also some acetate, I used some Wink of Stella and Mister Huey's on it using my a splatter effect.

Up next came the cardstock, both the White cardbase and Black cs is from Simon Says Stamp and the plaid is from the Authentique collection Everlasting.   I stamp the sentiment Season's Greetings from the Hero Arts Kelly's S'no Problem set in Memento Black and the snowflake in Stazon Black on the acetate sheet! Last I added a little bow of white twine.

Until next time,
Eva

PCCCS165 A Sketch Challenge!

Hey I'm back with Paper Craft Crew after taking last week off...

Today sketch had me working over-time,
I'm more of a clean and simple type of artist when it comes to card making,
but this is a challenge... afterall!  LOL

Decided to pull out my new Pretty Pink Posh Darling Friends Stamp set with matching dies
and some of my Stampin' Up! paper pad Cherry On Top and some Doodlebug cardstock too!
I'm also using some Simon Says Stamp White 120lbs cardstock as my card base.

I love when you can mix and match up different products and make them fabulous!
For the coloring, I used my Spectrum Noir in Pinks and Blues, and each of the super cute animals each a different color... with pink cheeks!

I finished up with some Sulky's Silver Metallic thread and some Pretty Pink Posh Sequins: Sparking Clear cupped!

Until next time

Paper Craft Crew Challenge 162

I can't believe its already Wednesday.... and time for a new  Paper Craft Crew Challenge!
Go and check out all the awesome cards from the team, and the new look too!

This sketch got me...
It was a tough one for me... I haven't been feeling too well in the past couple of days... and my PKD was acting up on Monday.. So I've been taking it easy.  I gave it my best shot... I hope you like it!

I went total mono chromatic on this one!
Starting with Timeless Elegance, and matching cardstock pack...
a few pearls, and some twine left over from a kit...  I fussy cut the lace layer..
and added a simple Thank You sentiment from So Very Grateful (retired)

Until next time

Paper Craft Crew Challenge 158

Its time for Paper Craft Crew and this sketch is like wow!
Pam has some mad sketch skills and I love it!

Okay,, I started with a smokey slate card base from Stampin' Up! cardstock, along with Early Espresso, So Saffron and lots of ink pads to do the filling in on color. I used my White Christmas set to make the trees, sentiment and then my Perpetual Birthday Calendar set (yep again). The tiny leaf stamp was perfect to fill in my trees for a fall look... I used daubers for the background sky colors in soft sky and pink pirouette.  I added simple elements for my circles in the sketch, went with candy dots in smokey slate to round out the colors. Last I added some trim for the bow.

Wow... can you believe its Wednesday already...
I am so excited today is the start of my adventure!!!
More about that tomorrow...

My card is so cute!

This sketch was hard for me... I wanted to use the new Everyday Chic DSP... and I fell in love with the little heart sheet, that I had to use it,especially today!  Tomorrow is my mom's 70th birthday, and this post is for her... She is a totally amazing person, and I can say that cause she's my mom!
I love how lovely black, white and yellow look together.. although recently I put some other colors together and they look fabulous too! lol.. Anyway... I've got the everyday chic dsp as I mentioned, and some retired daffodil delight seam binding ribbon, along with whisper white, basic black, and daffodil delight cardstock for today's card.  I used a few stamps... Crazy About You, All Boxed Up, Big News, and Gorgeous Grunge... yup that makes four different sets on the littlest areas :) Kinda makes ya smile, doesn't it!

Well I'm off... got some big things going on today,
wish me luck and I'll post again soon!

Its wednesday and that means Paper Craft Crew
and a new sketch challenge!!!

Okay... so I didn't follow the sketch 100% but its my take on it... I switched the places of the embellishment and sentiment and it works! I think thats one of the things I love about sketches, is that each of us will see it differently.. its a short story, just waiting for someone to enjoy it!

I've got just a few simple elements to my card today, and I think you'll love it!
Basic Black card base and layering, whisper white layers,  with a dash of Wink of Stella (non SU) and the incredible You've Got this stamp in Yellows and a touch of greens.. done in Stampin' Write markers! Yup... markers!!!  I've also got a few candy dots yellow (subtles) and the Typeset DSP.

Well thats all for today.. enjoy your day until next time

I've got some flower punches, a On Film die, candy dots in Regals, and linen thread!

PCCC148 A sketch challenge

Welcome back... today's sketch is fab! You are so gonna wanna be a part of this!

Well its been another interesting week, so glad I did my card earlier... got my new order from Stampin' Up! and all my new goodies were awesome!!! Butter has finished up the first half of 5th grade, and summer vacation has officially started for him... a few days earlier than his friends! He has books to read and we plan to finish the rest of (if not most of) 5th grade this summer (in the mornings)... so that when he goes back in the fall... he will be a 6th grader!!! WOOHOO... his continued hard work is paying off!

My card is super quick... I've got several layers and a movement of spring to summer.. well at least in Oregon anyway.. from Brown to green! and I love it!!!
I've got the Balloon Framelits as my focal point, the You did it from the Bravo stamp set. As you can see I used the new DSP Stack "Cherry On Top" for my flags and layering behind the Crumb Cake cardstock... I also have some Whisper White and Early Espresso in there as well.
I've used some Cucumber Crush on the balloon, and Early Espresso on the sentiment. Directly behind the first balloon I've got some CC cardstock!

Well I'm glad you stopped by.. until next time
