PCC214 2 week challenge

Did you see the update and all new look over at Paper Craft Crew?
Well, you should check it out! I did... and found this awesome challenge going on!

Pulled out lots of Fun Stampers Journey products for my take on the sketch!

My sentiment stamp is from Oh Holy and the background has lots of fun layers of colors, die cuts and bling! I used the Silver & Electric Lime Silks, Blue Lagoon Splash, and some rhinestones too!
from the Richard Garay product line, I used the amazing dots which come in a pack with three colors Gray, White, and Black. To finish off my card, I added a bit of thread and a River Stone card base!

That's it for this design

Until next time

CYCI#131 Color Challenge

Wow.. did you see the new look over at canyoucaseit.com?
The team and I have been working hard to move CYCI in the best direction possible!

Along with a new look also comes new graphics,
we are going for clean lines and a simple approach to paper crafting!

Our motto is:
"Inspired by Creativity"
Which I believe speaks of each of us.
On to the CYCI#131 Challenge

This week we have a lovely color combo, of Grays, Yellows, and Black!

My card is very simple, with the top layer skewed just so!.
I used the Mother Nature Washi along with Thanks Much stamp set.

Lemon Drop and Whipped Cream cardstock along with
some Silver Silk and Black Licorice Twine.

My finishing touch was a few RG Amazing Dots in Gray!

I hope you will join us this week for this fun and easy color challenge

Until next time

CYCI#125 CYCI Colors Challenge

Okay, I pulled a fast one this week!
For this challenge, we are using CYCI colors which is red, gray, white and black!
I love it!

Check it.. I went with fun and super cute!

A sweet gift card holder!
I started by using the Fun Stampers Journey Scalloped Pocket die.
I used wild cherry cardstock from MFT Stamps, which is a 100# cardstock which is perfect for die cuts! Next, I selected a stripe pattern from Richard Garay - make amazing prints pattern paper pack!
I ran it through my SB Platinum, I had to trim the bottom sides a bit, then used Tombow mono to adhere it to the wild cherry layer! I found a fun sentiment from my FJS stamp Feed Me!
I finished it off with a bit of Doodlebug Grey twine!
This makes the perfect gift card holder!

I hope you will join us!

Until next time

Two Hearts FSJ

I had a little time last night and again this afternoon to work on this card, between chapters (okay pages) in my Marketing Class...  talk about dry reading!!!  Anywho, I wanted something a bit different than I normally do, so I did lots of lovely layers!

I started by heat embossing the Sweet you flower stamps with white emboss powder, then sponged the following colors Bubble Gum, Orange Creamsicle, and Sweet Berry onto my cardstock.  I set it aside over night... until I had time to get back to the project.

Today, I finished the card, by adding my elements, layers, and cardbase! Much as I tried, I could not get the doily die to cut all the way through, so I used it to my advantage.. the uncut areas, left me space to adhere my foam to raise up the layer. I tapped the butterfly onto my ink pads, to give it a bit of color.  I added two different nests of twine and thread and finally I added the dots to cover any leftover adhesive foam and in a couple of extra spots! Oh.. yeah I added a layer of OC so that I could stamp my sentiment! That's about it!

RG FSJ Missing You!

lol.. I made this card because my next class looks like a doozy!  So I might not be able to blog as often as I've been doing lately... sad I know.

This is my first totally all Fun Stampers Journey and Richard Garay card!
Yup, I finally have enough products to use all of the fabulous fun items to put a great card together!

I started with RG Stripe Pattern die, and Amazing Bloom stamp and matching die.

Along with my FSJ inks in Black Licorice, Beach Breeze, Bubble Gum and Sweet Pear!
I used Whipped Cream and Black Licorice cardstock.
The Stripe Pattern creates a beautiful background for the flowers and sentiment which is from the Every Day set. I finished off my card with Journey sequins in Pink World and Celebrations twine by RG.

Anywho... I've got to get on my classwork!

Until next time!

CYCI#123 Color Challenge - Challenging

This was one of those challenges... you know.. the know the ones that stump you! Ya, that kind!
Well, the colors were selected by Elizabeth this week, yup... I love her... and how she really made me work for it! Hugs!!  Anywho... on to the challenge!

So as I thought about the challenge, I was inspired by a friend who's been there since I started making beautiful cards and a few ugly ones too... One of my crafty friends who just happens to live all the way on the other side of the country!   Justin recently opened his own store called SIP (Stamp Ink Paper) in New York! I had to get some of the cool stuff's he has in stock! Check it out... here's what I got

Lots of goodies, and I also picked a few of his personal sequins mixes!
Yum!!!

The Little Bitty Bag from YNS offered an opportunity to put something inside,
so I went with SIP's Hamptons Ice, which is a crystal clear 2mm sequins!
I mean who wouldn't love sparkly sequins? Right!!!

okay... so let's get to what I used in today's card!
