CYCI#140 Welcome back

Welcome back!
We've revamped the challenge just a bit, and they will go for two weeks at a time now!

I've got some of my favs from Fun Stampers Journey for you, on my card.
I started with my square dies which I created a frame with. Then I worked on the top layer, which I added lots of Gold Silk on Butter Cream cardstock. My middle layer and card base are in Oatmeal Cookie and Butter Cream. I colored my square frame in Orange Creamsicle and added some Pineapple Smoothy in the background.  My leaf is from the Snapshot Frames die set, I cut three of the leaves, added some Oatmeal Cookie, Cranberry Bliss, and a touch of Orange Creamsicle to it.  Glue them together, to create a thicker piece, coated it in J. Glaze and added a simple bow from twine.

That's it for this card, I hope you will join us

Until next time
Eva

CYCI#129 Fun Stampers Journey Find Joy

What an exciting week, lots of fun live feeds for the Bloom Box for July and tons of Netflix for the grands! It kept them busy, but this Nana is super tired! Looking forward to the day to relax before the week begins and we start all over again!

Anyway, here's the challenge for CYCI this week!

Hey, I'm back!
Today we've got a fun color challenge over at www.CanYouCaseIt.com !

I used some of my goodies from the new catty from www.FunStampersJourney.com
Finding Joy stamp set is full of cute and cuddly kittens with super sweet sentiments to match!
I used reinkers in Bubble Gum and Beach Breeze to color in my kitty's and sponged the Oatmeal Cookie ink for the neutral around them! I added a simple layer of Hazelnut Blend and Whipped Cream cardstock for my cardbase! :) I added a few sequins as my accents!

Well, that's it for today's card!

Until next time

CYCI#118 A Sketch Challenge

For the challenge today, I went straight for Simon Says Stamp newest kit "Showered with Love".

I started by cutting my stitched circles with the plaid print from Lawn Fawn.
Up next is the cute stamped images called Happy Days from SSS, which I colored with my Spectrum Noir Alcohol markers using PP1, PP2, GT1, IB2 and my blender and on the enjoy die from SSS.
For finishing touches, I added a sticker from Pinkfresh Studio and some awesome cute and super fun sequins in beautiful colors!

Until next time...

CYCI#113 Color Challenge

Had this great idea with our colors this week to create a baby boy card with the adorable bow clouds and a simple sentiment!

The cute scallop layer is from Craftin Desert Divas Fancy Frames!
This is one of those moments a crafter hopes never happens, and it's happened to me...
I know don't where that sentiment came from....

But the die is from Memory Box and guess what? I have an extra I will be giving away!

To win the Precious Clouds leave a comment below! US only please :)

Don't forget to visit CYCI and join in on the fun!!!

Until next time!

    CYCI#84 A Sketch by Elizabeth

Sunday and that means its time for CYCI... and some creative fun!
This week Elizabeth given us a great sketch, and the design team has outdone themselves!
CYCI is growing again, and thanks to the response to our open call, we've got new design team members you'll be meeting! So don't forget to head over to CanYouCaseIt.com

My design today is pretty simple, I busted into my new cardstock from Doodlebug, Rainbow assortment 8 1/2 by 11 textured. I used a brown called Chocolate Chip! It contains 48 different colors for anything you could want to make!  Doodlebug offer other color combo as well!
The paper stack today is from Echo Park, Bundle of Joy with soft pinks in various patterns, loves it bad!!!  Next I went through my Stampin' Up! stash and grabbed my retired Baby We've Grown stamp set and some twine that was part of a tag and bag kit.  I also used my Early Espresso ink for the sentiment.  I used my Baby's First dies from Sizzix. Last thing I added was two mini clothespins and some Doodlebug sequins, and Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear sequins too!

I also want to take a moment and thank Billie Moan for all the love and amazing creations she's shared with us over the past year... I'm gonna miss her and her team designs!
    'til next time...

    CYCI#81 A Color Challenge

Well its sunday and that mean Can You Case It? and this week we have a color challenge, the colors were picked by Billie Moan!

I started with white cardstock, and layered Tim Holtz tissue wrap, and some Ranger Texture Paste in Transparent Gloss... and three reInkers from Stampin' Up! in Blackberry Bliss for my purple, Lost Lagoon for my Blue, and Cucumber Crush for my green.
I mixed drops of the ink with the texture paste, and covered the tissue wrap. After it dried, I added the bricked stencil (with Ranger Texture Paste) and dabbed it to add some extra pizzazz...
I let it dry and then started on my sentiment in the Take Care of You stamp set from Unity Stamp Co. on vellum, in Stazon Black, to finish it off I put some pearls and buttons along with thread shaped like petals from a flower and splattered some Wink of Stella in silver on top. I added a Simon Says Stamp 120 lbs card base.

Here's a close up of the texture.

Its Sunday and that means a Can You Case It? Challenge!!!
Today' we've got Clean and Quick St. Patricks Edition (which is not a requirement)

So being a non-traditional gal.. I went with an everyday kinda card!

Bill and I ran to Sonic's to get me a shake for my sore throat... and it felt great drinking it, and numbing my throat but afterwards.... not such a great feeling... so I had some tea and that seemed to help! Butter is off with the girls while I try to get better and Gus.. well he's Gus, such is a dogs life!
He hasn't left my side much today... now thats loyalty!

My CYCI card for this week is anything but St. Paddy's day themed...
I love all the pretty pink, with vellum flowers and I wouldn't have it any other way!
I started by backing my SPV with Whisper White cardstock!
Pink Pirouette card base and the Hello from Hello You thinlits was next on Basic Black, in the licorice technique by Justin Krieger!
Finished off with a bit of Black bakers twine and some Doodlebug Cupcake sequins!

    Hope you love my card!
