Color Your Day AECP

Hello and thanks for dropping by!
Today I'm back with another assignment for my Altenew Educator Certification Program.
I am all about Color Your Day class...

For the Color Your Day Class, Instead of a triangle I went with a square.

Here's what I used.
I didn't have many of the products for the class, so I improvised!
For my background, I used the Simple Shapes XL set and for my floral, I grabbed the Larkspur.
Inks were a whole other thing, let's start with the Larkspur: the rock collection was a great look once I got the layers together and the leaves are done in Seashore minis. The background is in colors from Pocket of Sunshine, Sunkissed, Pink Pearl and of course I used Perminate Black for the outlines and sentiment.  The card base is 80lb Neenah solar white and sequins from my stash from Simon Says Stamp.

See ya next time,
Eva

CYCI#119 Color Challenge

Wow well... Week five is just ahead, and I've got another huge assignment due this week! I can't wait to see how things go with this one! So far I've got an A+ going on and with continued hard work, and lots of luck (knock on wood) I will continue with this class doing very well...  International Business is difficult, but not impossible. I'm learning tons about how business is done throughout the world, and my reports have been about our neighbors to the north, yup... Canada!

My friend Pamela stopped by and we had a wonderful time catching up, which was epic fun! She totally made my day!

Ah well...  back to the task at hand!

It's Sunday and that means CYCI!!!

Here's this weeks challenge

My card is a CAS (clean and simple card)

I am using the stamp set from May 2016 My Monthly Hero Kit from Hero Arts.
I used some blue ink for the thank stamp on a baby wipe, and blotted it on..
Next was the "You" which I embossed with Ranger Enchanted Gold powder on.
Then came the for always being so kind, in a memento black.
I layered the cardstock in thick white from Simon Says Stamp and yellow shimmering cardstock from an SSS kit back in March 2015!

I added a simple clip (Office Depot) and thick twine from Doodlebug to finish off my card!

Until next time

FMS192

okay... so its Saturday.. and late or early depending on how you're looking at it.. its 12:31 am and while I thought I was tired enough to go to sleep... I found myself wide awake and back at my crafty space.... after checking a few things, I started looking at challenges... I mean really what else can a crafty person do at 12:31 am ... anyway here's what I've come up with I hope you like it

I recently picked up some bottle cap crafty stuffs and when I saw the sketch and saw that it said any shape... well now that got me thinking! I could do a necklace for a child who's had a bad day... with a keepsake gift, the bear stamp Circle Friends from Simon Says Stamp in a bottle cap! I've a few layers of craftiness from Doodlebug paper pad and some cardstock from Stampin' Up!  I threw in some Wink of Stella as a splatter in the background... and added three beetle black sequin from Doodlebug to finish it off!

It was super fun and so quick and easy to make this card... that I have no doubt would make the day of any child having a bad day!

I did my stamped images in Calypso Coral and Crumb Cake, stamping off to to lighten the color.
I used the sweet dream buttons and white bakers twine to finish off my card.

PPA245 a Sketch Challenge

So finally starting to feel better, and nothing is better than making a card....
so when I saw PPA sketch this week... I was thinking.. I so need to do this, and get me back to normal!!! Nicole Watt designed the sketch, which is awesome, and interesting!

While I adjusted the sketch to fit my idea, I think it turned out fabulously!!!
I started by stamping on Whisper White with Crumb Cake in the En Francais and the Positively Chevron in Lost Lagoon, stamped off to lighten the color...  I have a back layer of Crumb Cake cardstock, and Wishing die in LL as well. I chose the Sweet Dreams buttons, and some hemp twine as my embellishments to complete my card!

I hope you like it.. I used mostly Stampin' Up! and
added the Wishing die from Simon Says Stamp.

ssink contraband day

SSINK

Today is my Amanda's (my oldest girl) Birthday....
and I had to make a card that was fun... and cute!

So I went straight to my Simon Says Stamp stash

I started with my oh so cute circle friends stamp set from Simon says Stamp!

Then of course I went right back to Stampin' Up! products for layers and my cardbase!
The base is in Daffodil Delight with Whisper White and Basic Black layers.
I used So Saffron and Memento Inks.

For my smaller details I took out my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers in BGR1 for the wings, True Black for the body and CT3 & CT4 to finish off the body... then gave it a layer of Wink of Stella in Clear.

Paper Players 237 LeAnne's Sketch Challenge

Hope your weekend was great! I know mine was! While I was making the card, I was doing Skype with Justin, and then on Hangouts with Tammy... and keeping an eye on Facebook... ahh multitasking!

So LeAnne has got an awesome sketch for us over at the Paper Players this week!

I went through my stamps and (finally) decided on Circle Friends from Simon Says Stamp, along with my Circle Collection framelits from Stampin' Up!  I used my Chocolate Chip ink on the stamps and So Saffron for the circle background stamps.  I used Chocolate Chip behind the top layer, Whisper White for my card base, Daffodil Delight and Hello Honey for my little banners.
I added the embellishments last, and used some Whisper White Bakers Twine.. A button from the Regals collection and some sequins from Doodlebug!

Thats it, I hope you like my card today... its so cute!!

FMS176 A sketch by Cindy H.

Today I've got my card for FMS and Cindy's Sketch

While I was chatting with Justin on Hangouts, we we're talking about the challenges going on this week and of course Freshly Made Sketches came up... I mean come on... whats not to love about Cindy's sketch, right?

I started by following the size suggestion on the sketch which is 4 1/2 by 9 1/2 inches
I used Whisper White cardstock as my base, and added Something Borrowed dsp , and Blackberry Bliss ribbon all from Stampin' Up!
Then I used my big shot on the awesome dies: Wishing and Woodland Rectangular Frame from and gold sequins Simon Says Stamp.
The Wishing die was done in Gold Foil and the Frame was in Blackberry Bliss. (from SU)

I didn't scallop cut my dsp because the flowers had a natural scallop in the pattern.

I hope you enjoyed my take on the design!
Have an awesome weekend!

and as always
