Last week Andrea put out the call for cards for her grandmother who is turning 100... and that is not something you can turn down! So here is my card... it's from the sneak peek on Friday!

here's the sneak peek I shared
I hope you like it... and I hope that Mary likes it as well!
I used my FSJ - Orange Creamsicle ink, along with some Ranger glossy Texture paste.
I the Ranger Large Flower stencil for the image, I love how wonderful it is...
For my die layers, I used my Fancy Frames, Flag Banners, and Wishful Thoughts Dies from Craftin Desert Divas, along with the Number die from MFT Stamps.

Also from Fun Stampers Journey is the amazing Natural Twine, which curls, so I love it even more and the beautiful cardstock for the 100 numbers which I also did in Orange Creamsicle.
My card base is Kraft from MFT Stamps, and the Vellum is from Stampin' Up!
The last item used on my card is the sequins... ah! The lovely Hampton's Ice 6mm sequins from Stamp, Ink, Paper Store... which at this rate, I'm gonna need to order some more and very soon!

CYCI#122 Sketch Challenge

OKokok............  So I totally love this little submarine!
When I first saw it I thought of the Beatles, lol... cause that's how I think!
So yup, it had to be yellow!!!

I start by coloring my FSJ - An Adventure stamp with my Spectrum Noir Alcohol markers, in yellows and grays! I did some bubbles on in in white gel pen and added some Ranger Glossy Accents on the portholes! I went through my cardstock and picked out this lovely yellow called Lemon Drop from MFT Stamps. My Pattern paper is from Doodlebugs - Anchors Aweigh (it comes in 6 x6). I jumped over to the matching sentiment "Make it an Adventure", but didn't want a plain look for it, and I had just gotten my Craftin Desert, they just release this set of Flag Banner Dies, which was perfect! For my accents, I added Doodlebug Sprinkles in Yellow and a bit of white twine!

Until next time

Hippo Ice Cream CDD

Decided to work on another digi today :)

I started by printing out my Hippo Ice Cream on watercolor paper, I let the ink from the printer dry for about ten minutes!  That gave me enough time to select my colors,  I went with the summer colors, bright yellows, orange and some pink too!  The background color was done in three parts, each drying for about 5 minutes in between.  On the hippo herself, I use just a touch of gray and lots of Wink of Stella clear!  After it dried, I use the big shot with the large scallop die from Fancy Frames (CDD)! !  I added a few pieces if sequins in pixie dust!

I added a layer of fun foam in pink :) gives it a bit more depth and so much cuter!

Well that's it for now.. Until next time

Digi Card CDD

'ello Monday!

Today at Craftin Desert Divas they've got some new digi stamps (digital images) and when I saw this Bunny in a hot air balloon, with hearts, clouds and a bird... I knew I had to have it!

Here's the link directly to the product at CDD... now don't fall over... but it's only 99 cents!
The best thing about Digi's is that you can make them any size you need, teenie tiny, or a full sheet at 8 1/2 by 11.

I did mine a bit bigger than a card front, 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 so that I could use my CDD Fancy Frames dies on it. I colored my image before cutting it down to fit the big shot, and framed out the area I loved!
Crafters companion - watercolor paper, Simon Says Stamp 120# cardstock as my cardbase
 and Zig CCRB watercolor pens
I also used the Wishful thoughts stamp set, for my sentiments... The cool thing is all of these products are available at the same place!

Well, that's all for now...

Until next time

CYCI#116 A Sketch Challenge

Wow.. I'm back from Illinois, and I had a blast!!! William and I got to spend time with family and it was awesome! The best news that happened while I was there is that my mom can finally start therapy to walk again after her fall and break last fall. My cousin Tammy was a great friend to let us stay with her, we had a blast, making cards, playing games and catching up.  On the other hand, it is great to be home and getting ready for another term at school!

Anyway.. on to this weeks challenge

Elizabeth did this week sketch and I totally love all the detail!

While I was chatting with Tammy on Skype I was making my color selections...
and decided to go with pinks! :) They are fun and happy!

I used a tag die from Crafters Companion that works on their new Diamond Press!

Once I laid out how I wanted the top layer to look, I went to work on the shaker parts.
I used Zig RCCB in pinks and lots of beautiful sequins from Craftin' Desert Divas -Spring Time Flower Power mix. For the bows, I grabbed my Doodlebug Chunky Twine!  Layering it onto a pink cardstock base from MFT Stamps.  The Hi sentiment is from Paper Smooches - Scripty Sayings.

Until next time

Eva

Happy Hippo Birthday Card

Hello... had a bit of time tonight to make a card, so I went with the super cute Hippo Birdie stamp set from Craftin Desert Divas. I used tons of girl colors in pinks, yellows cardstock,  a balloon print found in Sugar Shoppe, and Chunky Twine from Doodlebug!
I added some sequins also from CDD called Pastel Paradise and some pink wood washi from Queen and Co.  I'm using a 120# white cardstock from Simon Says Stamp for my card base!

Until next time
Eva

FSJ - Rain Tweet

After my term paper was complete last night, I took a bit of time and had some fun!
I just love the way my card turned out!
Used my new stamp set, Rain Tweet from Fun Stampers Journey which I did with ZIG watercolors.
I used Queen and Co. Green-Wood washi tape, along the edges.
I used my favorite Fancy Frames die from Craftin Desert Diva's
Last item was the super cute Hugs die from Simon Says Stamp.

Enjoy your day

CYCI#110 A sketch challenge by Elizabeth

Totally went Echo Park for this challenge!

I love how easy it is to use one of their kits to create a quick and easy card! This one is called Lucky Charm and I picked it up from Simon Says Stamp for only 6.99 (plus shipping).
Which was a steal, considering I can make a bunch of cute cards or a cool scrapbook layout!
The round scallop die is Stitched in Circles dies from Craftin Desert Divas!
The only other thing that I added was a card base and a few gold pearls from Queen & Co.

Don't forget to play along at CanYouCaseIt? this week!!!!

Red and Kraft Challenge USC

Okay... so I was thinking tag.... so ta da!!!
My tag is made from a Ranger kraft tag and a Jillibean Soup acetate tag.
I used the KOM from January for my sentiment and stamped image, which is the heart of butterflies!
I layered on Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Gold, and Ranger texture paste mixed with Red ink.
I added a simple piece of thread in a neutral color!
I used my heat tool to dry the color and create waves in the tag.

Up next is my card... cause I had to make a card! It's what I do...

I started with my Craftin Desert Divas Fancy Frames die set, and lots of Heidi Swapp Color Shine Gold, and lots of red ink from a reInker.  I used the same butterfly heart stamp from the January KOM from Unity for the image and another sentiment from the kit!!!
I decided to go on an angle for the positioning of the sentiment and ran it back through the big shot with the die.

You can check out the awesomeness of mine and other cards/projects by joining their fb page
at Unity Stamp Co. - Unity Show and Tell

Until next time

Which to me is Laura, Me and Tammy... lol...

I've got lots of color with my Zig Clean Color real brush, and Heidi Swapp Color Shine Gold!
My color in the background is Simon Says Stamp Hybrid Melon!
Along with my favorite must have, couldn't live without them, Craftin Desert Divas Fancy Frame dies!
Doodlebug Chunky Beetle Black twine and the cardstock is Simon's 120# white and Black.

This week I'm sharing the inlinkz option to join CYCI directly from my blog too!

Paper Craft Crew #182

This class has been extremely hard this term, and I've been working my tushie off, just trying to keep up with the assignments. Psychology is making me crazy! lol... As with anything that is difficult, I'll just keep working at it, until I understand it... or die, and since I'm not dead... I guess I will survive!
Andrea and I chatted on Monday, and she mentioned that I hadn't been on Facebook for over 13 hours... lol...  I was stuck in la la land... working on my class stuff and other things on the side! I couldn't believe I hadn't been on for that long! Wow... that's a lifetime in FB time!

On to today's challenge

Paper Craft Crew has a sweet challenge for us this week!  I was chatting with Justin (fellow PCC DT member) while I was making this and we had a blast!!!  I love to crafty chat when I get the chance!
My card today features some fun new stuff (to me)
and some incredible staples you should have in your crafty stash!

I started today's card with the sketch in hand, and lots of ideas!
The first thing I thought of was the cute Sunny Skies Die and kraft cardstock base from MFTStamps and did it in a beautiful blue called Dolphin from Doodlebug!  Next I grabbed a piece of glitter paper and the thank you tag from Jen Hadfield.  I had leftover enamel dots from Echo Parks "Hello Winter" collection.
I used my favorite die - Fancy Frames from Craftin Desert Divas for my background layer and splattered a bit of Heidi Swapp Gold color shine on it!  You can see a tiny star poking out in blue (it's been sitting on my desk for a long time... not sure what cardstock it's from tehe!
For the last thing I used was something new to me... a bit of American Crafts Happy Place rub on pen!  I love the lines and color!  Last is my thread, which is coated, and I love to curl the ends!

Well that's it for today, until next time
Eva

CYCI#107 A Color Challenge

Elizabeth picked the colors for this week! They are epic!!!

I love this kraft paper... which is from the small craft dept at my local Walmart... of all places. But it was affordable, and I needed some. It's actually every nice to stamp on and held up very well to the splatter of white that I added using Mister Huey's.

Anyone who knows me knows that I am a smart ass! This design shows that fun side of me.
The first thing the hubby did after seeing it was to give me a funny look, which is awesome!
I've got lots of little bits in my design which made it perfectly perfect in every way (Mary Poppins).

Craftin Desert Divas fancy frame dies and Pixie Dust Sequins
Hugs Die from Simon Says Stamp
Little B White Corrugated tape cut with Sizzix circle dies
American Crafts neutral thread double bow

My cardstock for the hugs die is called Grape Jelly, from MFT Stamps. My stamped sentiment "you're the SHIT" is from Unity Stamp Co. and under my kraft paper layer I used fun foam to lift up the layer to add some support and build it up, rather than leaving it flat.

I hope you will join in the fun this week at Can You Case It?

Until next time,
Eva

OSAT BLOG HOP - Love is in the air

Welcome back to OSAT for February

Our theme this month is "Love is in the Air" and it was so much fun to put my items together!
Wow... I totally loved Lori's post... wasn't it just fantastic!!!

On to the hop...

I recently got my order from MFT and had to include them in the items I selected for this months post! I know that many of you have seen all the wonderful items out there, and yes it gets so hard to chose from the massive selections... but when I saw the MFT plaid paper stack, I knew I had to have it!

I had the chance to order from HSN!!! When they offered the new Crafters Companion Diamond Press and some of the uber cute dies and embossing folders.  I used one of the tag dies, and their heart embossing mini folders! I can't get over how flippin' cute the thing is!
Like I mentioned before I also have lots of new goodies from MFT like the plaid patterns paper and the label maker love stamp set! Along with their card sampler, which a great way to get the cardstock without a huge investment and we all know that a great deal saving is! I used 120# Ultra Thick Cardstock from Simon Says Stamp for my base and a purple heart on Doodlebug cardstock (another sampler pack). For my embellishments, I used some basic black thread, a stapler, my little b corrugated paper and Springtime Flower Power sequin mix from Craftin Desert Divas!

My card is awesome! Lots of great pieces to pull it together!

For my project, I made a super cute fortune cookie!

Pam is up next... wait til you see what she has for you... amazing!!!
